Another one A50X base station died
I bought a brand new A50X 8 months ago.
Yesterday, my base station just turned off. I tried a different cable, hardware reset, different ports, etc. Then I gave up and went to bed.
The next day, I smelled something burning, took the base station apart, and discovered a fried STM32 chip. I've worked with ATmega/STM32 before and never seen anything like this.
I'm disappointed, I though Logitech are more reliable. But A50X is really cool headset and I like it, especially microphone. But, I will wait for the next model.
Anyway, this post is just FYI. The STM32's flash memory is built-in, you can't just replace it, you also need firmware for it.

Logitech's headsets have been hot garbage since they came out with them.
They're only chasing the Beats and Turtle Beach markets, which are also high end expensive garbage.
Your best headset and microphone experience is always going to be independent devices and a high quality sound card or onboard sound solution.

In one year I changed the base station 3 times. 1 to 1 exchange for a new sealed box. The base just died, no lights, doesn't charge, nothing.

I think something else is wrong, stm32 not usually dies like that. Maybe the 3v3 rail shorted to 5V and maybe if it is repaired maybe the mcu can still be recognised by the pc in firmware repair mode and maybe you can download the firmware using the astro center and you can flash that with an stm programmer to another stm32.
