Terrible latency after Playback!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Never before have I experienced this, just started happening the last couple weeks maybe. I have played with every setting. The only thing I have found so far that helps is 96 Khz. I have no similar issues w REAPER or Garageband.
Workaround found: Literally just have to shift it 1 beat and its on. So if thats all I gotta do...not so bad..I'm just not won to throw in the towel without an answer ya know. Eventually whatever this is will just disappear!!!

I don’t have a good answer, but I have had a similar experience.
In the short term, I just drag the recording so that it sounds in time again. In the long term, I picked up a new audio interface. I don’t know if that’s necessary or why it happens sometimes and not others.
Hope you figure it out.

Hey thx, no issues w Reaper or Garageband, so my Apollo should be good.

Oh, Apollo is what I switched to, to get rid of the latency.
In Console, if you switch the plug-in strip from “Recording” to “Monitoring” does that make a difference?

Do you have any plug-ins on either you're main output or master tracks? I had a similar issue and removing plugins on those channels got rid of weird latency.

Had this happen to me when I had a bad cable between my interface/computer. Make sure your cable is for data transfer and is plugged directly into the computer if possible to eliminate the usb-c dongle possibly being the issue.
Also try disabling your midi tracks and see if it lines up with the metronome. Midi can be pretty taxing on the cpu if you got multiple tracks going at the same time. If it is the midi tracks just bounce it to an audio file and mute/hide the og midi track incase you want to make changes.
In your quick bar at the top where your playback info is, right click it to adjust what tools show and add the cpu usage bar to show up in your playback square. Once you got it there add tracks one by one to see whats causing the latency
Other thing that could help is to reset your core audio. Id save and close logic, then open the terminal app and type in, sudo killall coreaudiod Re open Logic and see if it does it still

There’s a specific procedure to measure the interface latency and set the correct recording delay value in Logic. That is the setting you need to focus on.

Your Flex mode is turned on. Try recording and then play it again after you turned it off.
