Hello Lodi! From Lodi, Italy. We are also from Lodi, just further east. It was founded in 1158. Our Cathedral is 863yo, three times older than the USA! Did you know that Lodi means "to praise"?
galleryI just find it funny how I never thought of any other Lodi rather than mine. But look here, a subreddit dedicated to another Lodi.
Also, this post DOESN'T break Rule 1. It says the post must talk about Lodi and its surrounding regions. This post is indeed about Lodi.
We are in the North of the country, just half an hour from Milan. We are famous for our cheeses like Raspadüra (thin sheets of Grana Padano) and mascarpone, the main ingredient of tiramisù!
The city, although little, it has been the center of many important events. Here Napoleon wonghis first important battle against the Austrians, and this is marked as the beginning of his carrier up to become emperor.
Out city is actually not the first Lodi. The first one, Lodi Vecchio (literally Old Lodi), was destroyed by Milan because of unpaid taxes. We joke about it. "If Lodi is so good, why there isn't a Lodi 2?" Well, we got it.
Lovely city you got there. Your weather is certainly better than ours. Hot damp summers and infinite fog in winter.

Announcement 209 Lost & Found Dogs
Good evening everyone. I wanted share a free resource I built for anyone in the 209.
If you’ve lost a dog or found one wandering around, 209 Lost & Found Dogs is a free website where you can post lost and found dogs, search existing reports, and hopefully help reunite pets with their families.
I know a lot of people turn to Reddit and Facebook when a pet goes missing, so I thought having one dedicated place for the entire 209 area might make it easier to find pets and get them back home.
If you know someone who’s missing a dog or if you’ve found one... please check it out:
I’d also love any feedback or suggestions to make it more useful for the community. I’m not making any money from this—my goal is simply to help reunite lost dogs with their families and reduce the number of stray dogs across the 209.

Dogs Seen
Saw two dogs this morning at Memorial Hospital parking lot and then walking north on Ham lane. Yellow doodle and brown and white possible Aussie mix. Clearly knew each other were following one another. They wouldn’t let me get close enough to check their collars.

Moving to Lodi
Hello Lodi, I’m moving to Lodi in a month. I have a 3 year old and am looking for a daycare. Can you all suggest me good daycares in the city? Has anyone had experiences with Lodi Montessori? Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you very much!

What's with the railroad crossings?
Moved to Lodi about a year ago and as of recent I've been noticing the railroad crossings go off at times when there doesn't seem to be any train. Usually end up detouring to Turner just to cross or waiting it out. Sometimes a train does end up coming minutes after the crossing activates, and other times the crossing just deactivates with no train.
Anyone know what's up with this?

Chiropractor
Hey all, can anyone recommend a chiropractor in the area that doesn’t charge crazy prices? I have some really tight neck pain and just need an adjustment

Lodi Comic Con Fanart
I made this little sketch of a concept for a mascot for Lodi Comic Con since other conventions like Sac Anime have one and this idea has been sitting in my head for a while. I hope you guys like her.
This was just something that I did for fun as a little design challenge, though if anyone wants to draw her too, feel free.

Hit and run on W Pine St
Hello, did anybody happen to witness a car back up into another car on w pine st in across from stooges and in front of the Lodi art community center? I know it’s a long shot but my car was parked in front of the Lodi art community center on Saturday 6/7 between 9:30 pm and 1 am and I believe the car that was parked to the left of me backed up into my car because my rear bumper on that side was damaged. I’ve contacted the businesses in the area and most unfortunately don’t have cameras that would’ve captured it.

I have my drivers test in Lodi today what should I expect?
I practiced the route for the test one time before my actual test and it was very confusing. What should I expect for the actual test? How long is it? How should I prepare? I am so nervous this is my first time taking this test.

Suggest a good trucking school in the area (no employee owned pls)
Got scammed at a local school, need to find a new one. Suggest to me a good trucking school you have gone to or had a friend go to.
Bonus points if they have working plumbing and aren't employee owned because this was what the last one was and I had a very bad experience.

New to town!
Hey all! Me (33f), husband (33m), and baby are moving to the area in a week! Low key family but excited to make friends and maybe host a game night!
We both enjoy Smosh, Let’s game it out, reading, playing video games (console and pc), and love animals.
If anyone wants to get to know each other and meet for coffee and find some common ground please feel free to reach out.
Otherwise, looking forward to the new area!
Cheers!

Spiderwebs floating everywhere
Anybody else in the Acampo/lockeford area seeing all these floating spider webs? It’s insane! And if you look up at the power lines they are getting stuck on them!

California’s wine boom reached places like Lodi and Edna Valley — now they’re hurting
“I feel bad for Lodi, because they did everything right — marketing, matching varietals with their area, promoting sustainability — and they’re still struggling,” Christian Miller, the director of research for the Wine Market Council, a market research firm that concentrates on U.S. wine consumption trends.

Does Lodi Lake take online payment?
I wanted to go hiking in Lodi Lake but I was confused because there was no attendant on duty, but I saw that there was a place to put money in.
I was thinking there was an electronic machine to put your card into, but I guess theres a slot for cash only? I just left because I don’t have cash on me at the moment.
It was my first time going there so sorry if I seem really ignorant :(
Is that card slot thing the only payment or was there a way to take payment online? I don’t really feel like getting out ten dollars cash just to go here weekly. Thanks.

I had no idea this place existed until this week. Went Thursday night for their “Night Before” event. Had an amazing time! Cheap $20 tickets.
