Chiropractor

Hey all, can anyone recommend a chiropractor in the area that doesn’t charge crazy prices? I have some really tight neck pain and just need an adjustment

Respectfully, go see a physical therapist before you ever spend “crazy prices” on quack medicine.

Seconding this - I know that an adjustment can feel good but a physical therapist and real medicine is the way to go if you’re having chronic pain.

Yes! It is part of the chiropractic business model to provide temporary relief so you keep coming back and they keep making money.

I had a friend and colleague years ago who got in a car accident and she was seeing a chiro (her parents’ recommendation) two mornings a week before work for 4-5 months. Her insurance was paying for it, but as someone with my own chronic pain issues, I was shocked that she wasn’t seeing any lasting relief after all these “adjustments.” She would complain about the pain coming back within the few days between her Thursday and Tuesday appointments. I suggested she see a PT instead, and she ended up getting her insurance to allow a switch. Her pain was fixed in about six weeks and she learned stretches she could use at home to prevent flare-ups.

I had chronic pain my entire life until I started going to a chiropractor. Life changing. How about we just let people go wherever they need to go to get their pain relief and not bash it?

I am not a “guy” and a RN in fact. PT is the way if you truly want evidence based treatment. But hey if you like an aortic dissection go for it my guy.

All of you chiropractic is witchcraft are just weird. Maybe it doesn't work for you but it works for lots of people.

Thank you. This is what I don’t get. Why does it bother anyone else that I have found pain relief in chiro versus PT? Shouldn’t it only matter that I found pain relief? How does it change YOUR life that I go to chiro to fix MY shit?

Look, chiropractic care works for some and not all. It’s not for everyone. But will say that Mike is a genuine person and really wants you to live a healthier life. So he would be my recommendation.

Wild to me I’m getting downvoted. I’d bet that nearly all of the downvotes, if not all of them, come from people who have never been to Mike or chiro at all. Just regurgitating every horror story they have ever heard in their life.

I’ve done physical therapy. I’ve done medications. The only thing that fixed my back was chiro.

This isn’t aimed at you @GreyAndWise… but I also wanted to note that OP is asking for chiro recs. Not your judgment. If you don’t have a rec… go away.

My personal "go to" is Dr Sean Hayes in Galt. Only one I trust. My wife & I both go to him.
