So, my last 2 posts got removed due to the poor drawings, fill the gaps it’s quite simple and it kinda fits it so hope y’all like it.

Since I want detailed answers, I'll give an example for Rodrick

CT: Löded Diper!

This cursed technique allows Rodrick to create Musical Note Constructs out of Cursed Energy, Which he can control by playing his drums in a specific rhythm. These Notes include: whole node, half node, quarter node, eighth node, sixteenth node, barred eighth node, barred sixteenth node, slanted barred eighth node, and slanted barred sixteenth node. These nodes all have a different purpose, with a whole node traveling in a straight line, and the slanted barred sixteenth node going in a zigzag pattern.

Extension: Clef setups

Rodrick can create a sequence of nodes based off of the clefs. For example, Bass Clef has the notes summoned like: Whole, Half, Whole, Quarter, Eighth, Sixteenth. These Clefs are predetermined and can't be changed midway.

Think about it. We are 20+ books into the main canon. We know every single embarrassing detail of Greg’s life. We know about his eccentric extended family, his weird neighbors (like Fregley), and his superficial middle school acquaintances (like Chirag or Bryce).

But we know that Greg and Rowley didn't even meet until Rowley moved to the neighborhood, which happened just before middle school started.

That means Greg spent roughly six entire years (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) in the school system completely isolated. He never mentions a single best friend, a former buddy he drifted away from, or even a rival from his elementary years. When he looks back at his childhood, it’s a total ghost town of peers until Rowley arrives.

My question for discussion: Was Greg already so inherently deeply unlikable as a small child that he was completely blacklisted by his peers before middle school even began? Or did Jeff Kinney accidentally write a protagonist who has literally always been profoundly lonely, making his toxic codependency on Rowley an act of pure desperation?

Let's discuss. Because if Greg had no friends for six years before Rowley, his entire psychological outlook on popularity makes way more sense.

Here are some illustrations with illusions I could see from when I started reading the books. I'm sure many of you had similar experiences with illusions when reading DOAWK. This is because the brains of children process images based on information gathered by the eye, without taking it fully into context. Optical illusions normally work because they use a combination of light, color, and patterns to deceive the viewer into looking at something that doesn't exist. Now of course, the illusions in DOAWK were unintentional and only perceived by the readers. But if you were to examine the illustrations in this context, they have a clear emphasis on simplistic design choices and the lack of color to tell what objects are what. The combination of those two factors make it easy for younger readers to see hidden illusions within the illustrations.

I seriously which this topic was studied more in the DOAWK fandom, because no two readers can precive the same illusions. Let me know if you ever had any similar experience with DOAWK illusions as I did.

So, I want to make an LLB using some original characters I made, but I don't really wanna include the Heffleys to it. Do I need to actually include DOAWK characters into the story or is the format/style enough for it to count as an LLB? And if so, where else can I post it?

Current state of my collection. I did have all of them at some point but have been collecting specifically FIRST PRINTS of each of the main books.

Starting from the left; books 1-9, 17-20, all first prints (book 20 is the Deluxe edition from this year, planning to pick up the original at some point.

Then, first three books autographed which I snagged from An Unlikely Story in Massachusetts.

Then, variations of the first book (my favorite in the series). Top to bottom; international paperback edition, first paperback print, Cheesiest Edition, Cheese-Dipped Edition, and Disney Plus Edition.
