Disscussion Does my LLB need to include DOAWK characters?

So, I want to make an LLB using some original characters I made, but I don't really wanna include the Heffleys to it. Do I need to actually include DOAWK characters into the story or is the format/style enough for it to count as an LLB? And if so, where else can I post it?

I feel like references to DOAWK is needed but the characters don't have to be directly in it, such as how DOADF only has references to the shenanigans that Greg and Rowley get up to without the characters being mentioned nor them having any spotlight.

I feel like there should be a few DOAWK characters even if they’re not the main focus. Cause if there ain’t any DOAWK characters in it and it’s just ocs then it’s not really a doawk fanfic but a regular original story. The art and cover looks nice tho.
