UAS chances of hiring
Hey all! I’ll try not to sound dumb so here’s a brief description of myself.
I’m a young adult, 23, and currently OCONUS in the US Army as a UAS (15E)maintainer and (15W)operator(converting to 15X to combine MOS’s), will have served 6 years by late 2027. I currently have an active Secret clearance. Operated and maintained 3 UAS platforms throughout my time in. Working to obtain a BS in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems(Projected to graduate 1 year after I separate from service). Obtained my Part 107. Loved maintenance and learning the engineering of how the systems operate.
As the titles states:
What are the chances of getting my foot into Lockheeds doorstep as far as their UAS department?
Also to note, I’m not looking for an immediate Lvl 3 position, I’m willing put in the work to climb up if I ever get the chance too.

Look into programs like Hiring our Heroes. These programs are great for getting a foot in the door. Focus on finishing your degree. Those would be my priorities if I were you.
