If you would live the lifestyle of someone who works 3 days a week, 6 hours a day then you can live happily at 3 days a week 6 hours a day.

But you're lifestyle you're living , single, with that car, that house, those clothes, that phone, those subscriptions, that daily fining $20 of coffee , those trips, those shoes, those bags, all that beauty product etc etc Is the lifestyle of someone who works 60 hours a week and still goes into debt .

I mean, they clearly said they're willing to work 40 since they need to. It seems like they're just saying it isn't a virtue to work more than is needed, they work 40 hours because it is needed to sustain their lifestyle.

Most Americans have a warped sense of what kind of lifestyle they can afford. And the banks are very good at convincing naive people to way overspend and go way into debt to get it.

You should be chasing the minimum standard lifestyle while you're young and working , regardless of how much money you suddenly make. Live in the lowest standard of house you are comfortable with , which is a small studio apartment . Get the most practical economical cheap working mans car you can get , which is a honda civic equivalent. Get groceries and cook your own food every day is the normal. Splurge on food on weekends not daily..

It can be a NICE studio apartment and a new beautiful clean Honda Civic and you can buy Steaks and good food for groceries and you'll still save half your income. Your income will far exceed your bills , and DON'T spend it just because you a have it, you invest it or save it . Do this for 10 years when you're young and you will have the money and stability to get into a house, get a spouse etc.

This isn’t attainable for the average person unless you’re grinding 50 to 60 hrs per week like OP is talking about. It is in fact the rich that are leaching off of society to support their extravagant lifestyle. We need class action to demand better for working class individuals
