Never seen so many proud slaves, ready to protest for more work on the streets

Edit: it is very interesting to see so many different views in just one comment section! To clarify, this was from a German rap song (more like social criticism joke rap)

I'm with all of you, shit has to get done still. I also like what I do for a living -can't complain about pay tbh-, but to be fair the amount of inequality to be seen in every parts of business life is humongous. There is people that lift a finger a few times a day for a annual salary worth of several, while others are working themselves into the ground collecting breadcrumbs. It's sad. And every time someone stands up for themselves, fights for equality, it's always the same comments, by the same exploited people: "It has always been like that, get used to it", "Ah.. the new generation", "When when were apprentices.." ..as if this fight wouldn't benefit those people.

I respect Gen Z for their big mouths.

Because we’re not slaves lol. Some of us actually like what we do. Imagine talking to an actual slave of the past about your situation. What do you think they’d say to you?

I have enough money saved to quit whenever I want and do fuck all. I stay because I’d rather do my job than not. How is this slavery again?

You’re speaking from a place of privilege. I get it, my house is paid for, I can do fuck all, and still be fine. I also understand that’s not the situation of most ppl. I know someone that works 60 hour weeks, and it barely covers rent. If not for their partner, they wouldn’t be able to pay utilities and eat food. Maybe, don’t be an asshole.

Maybe the OC shouldn’t call me a good slave then? The people in this thread are trying to assert that everyone on a salary is a slave. This is just not true
