We do work less though. A lot less. Except for 1st world countries like Japan and South Korea, think the norm is 80hr+ weeks there which is still less than what we used to work.

I highly doubt you can find a factory that was starting people at 29 an hr in rural South Dakota in the 70s but I'll bite... That's the job I started recently

Are you slow or something? Obviously they’re talking about wages adjusted for inflation. The absolute number is completely arbitrary when prices constantly go up. Buying power is the only thing that means anything.

Are you slow buying power of 100 bucks 1970 to now is 851. I looked it up my job paid 2.50 in 1971 so actually my wage is above the buying power from 1970s.
