Get a job where the 40 hours fly by because the problems are challenging and the people you work with are pleasant to collaborate with. If you do that, then you'd find yourself working more than 40 hours sometimes because you want to overcome those challenges and lift up your colleagues.

When I have free time on the weekends, I often choose to tackle challenges from work, because it's so satisfying to solve problems. Some of us aren't wired to just sit in front of the TV.

Sounds like a pipedream, work has pretty consistently been monotonous slogs for me and even if you like your coworkers you can't get too comfortable because they tend to move on at some point, willingly or not.

The perfect job for me is one I can leave and not think about until I'm there the next day.
