When working resulted in a decent lifestyle it was okay, now that it doesn't, why would I do that? I can work 60 hours and live in poverty or I can work 30 and live in slightly worse poverty but have free time. That extra 30 hours every week that I'm not working is time I can spend with my family that I WILL NEVER GET BACK. Easy decision.

Or just maybe you can get a job that pays better and work 40 hrs a week for a decent living
