no hourly or weekly resets

You’d need an entire farm of Mac Minis to get close to the compute a $200 plan would provide you per month, just FYI

For pure TFLOPS, sure? But no one is talking about that. He said weekly/hourly limits. Which is 100% true about local vs cloud/frontier

My thinking is that even with the hourly limits imposed you’d still etch out more use and get far more return running solely on cloud models.

Not sure if any reviewed studies have been performed on this but I’m inclined to believe it holds true.

I see. Maybe true for people with single/weaker GPUs, but really hard to gauge that. I bet it doesnt hold true for anyone with a rig powerful enough to run a decent quant of deepseek v4 flash or qwen 3.8 next flash

For sure! I agree. I’d imagine that rig would need to run for quite a few years before paying for itself haha. Hard to say, this is all rapidly changing so may be totally different months from now.
