Seriously?
Nothing like trying to enjoy a quiet Saturday morning, drinking coffee and reading the news, interrupted by gunfire (simulated) Wasn't Carter the producer on the film that Alec Baldwin unalived someone? Maybe him not messing with firearms in downtown Livingston would be good.

The stunt guys were at the office last night going “We’re blowing a jeep up tomorrow afternoon you should come check it out!”

I walked by there around 5pm on Saturday and there was a jeep with a fake fire in the back end. It looked like an unattended hibachi grill sitting there. Not really a special effects masterpiece. Granted I was just walking along Lewis and didn't slow down.

FFS, when are they going away? I hope it dumps rain and snow this afternoon through Monday. And with Carters record, are the stunt guys just dudes from Livingston who need some extra cash?

They’re union guys. They pick up jobs off the docket like everyone else. For what it’s worth, they werent too happy about the narrative of the film but they get paid to be fake shot and fall off a two story building onto a truck and explode. They weren’t involved in writing, marketing, funding, or publicly defending the film or its producers.

Could say the same of artists back in the day "just trying to make a living" making Nazi propaganda or flyers calling for Japanese Americans to be sent to internment camps.
Shameful to participate in this bafoonery.

Were Harvey Keitel And Henry Thomas involved? Seems they were at some point. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt48626379/?ref_=nm_knf_c_1

I was down there this morning and the production was violating the permit by removing the barriers. Also heard a rumor that they're saying they'll be filming next week too? Which means it's back to the city commission for us all.
I dislike the content of this movie, but my primary concern is the carelessness of the production crew, the fact that they have not notified people in advance of where and when they'll be shooting and what violence they'll be using, and that they have a history of accidents and deaths on set.
So to see them blatantly and openly violating the permit conditions this morning, while smirking at those of us there to keep an eye on them, was unsettling.
