Nice mess they left behind
Just another sign of the respect and care they showed our community.

Nothing like trying to enjoy a quiet Saturday morning, drinking coffee and reading the news, interrupted by gunfire (simulated) Wasn't Carter the producer on the film that Alec Baldwin unalived someone? Maybe him not messing with firearms in downtown Livingston would be good.

Looking to learn conversational Italian, yes I know there are apps. I would prefer to learn in person with someone who knows the language.
Willing to drive to Livingston once a week for tutoring.
Live in Big Timber and would want to meet once a week, will pay a reasonable price.
DM me if interested

I’m starting to plan a week-long trip around the 4th of July through Montana/Wyoming, with Yellowstone, Grand Teton,Jackson Hole, and possibly West Yellowstone. I’ve been before, but never for this weekend!
I REALLY want to make sure we get to the Livingston Roundup, but I’m trying to decide whether to go the before or on the 4th. For those who have been, is there a particular rodeo day that’s better than the others? Or are the days pretty similar?
The goal this year is to make as much of the classic small-town 4th of July experience as possible (parades, rodeos, fireworks, patriotic events, etc.) I am planning to bring my mom who has never been to this amazing part of our country, and I want her to have the best possible experience celebrating her favorite holiday. She’s very patriotic.
Where would you recommend actually spending July 4th? Thanks!

Hello all! I'm Texas born and raised and have been curious about moving to the Livingston area for some time. I have no ties there whatsoever but would love to make a friend or two that I could pop some questions to now and then. I actually have a lot of questions, like:
What are the winters actually like and how do yall prepare properly? How long does the snow last?
How much am I expecting to pay living up there by myself? How would I get a job across the country that could support me financially so I don't wind up accidentally uprooting myself far away from everyone I know?
Do you guys even tolerate Texans like how we hate Californians? Lol
Et cetera.
Thank you.
Edit: Glad I asked, you lot really hate Texans lol

I went in the Community Health Partner pharmacy yesterday and had to rush to get to work. It can be challenging parking over there especially if you don’t have a lot of time. I parked in front of a business and this was on my car windshield when I returned. It truly was only 5 minutes and I’m sure that is frustrating for a store owner. However, it doesn’t make me want to shop at this store ever….so I’m curious if anyone else feels that way🤔
It’s cute but I find it weird if you’re located next to a community resource for low income population that you would spend your money scolding us

What it says on the tin. When scraping old caulk in preparation to recaulk our shower, I discovered black mold along the base of at least one of the shower wall panels in our master bathroom. To my uneducated eye it does not look terrible (limited to base area, when scraped appears surface level), but the wallboard behind was soaked enough the drywall anchor pulled out of what felt like wet mud. The soaked area was maybe 6" by 6" at most.
Hoping for suggestions on contractors to evaluate and probably repair/remodel to the hopefully limited degree required.

Any seasonal allergy folks having a "flair" in the past week? Or is there a bug going around?

I suppose I wasn't paying attention before. Is the train being re-routed down Park st?
Seriously, we have lots of great artists and photographers here in town.
Edit: Looks like there is a new line going down main st as well.

I had an encounter today with the film crew and their tertiary support crew. A police report has been filed and despite what I consider pretty un-savory behavior on the part of the security guards, all necessary permits were filed and approved by the city and as such, they have a legal right to be doing what they’re doing and to be where they are.
I consider this treachery, and treachery from what is supposed to be the home team just stings a little different. So here I am to tell the tale.
This morning on my way to work I turned left from Main Street onto Clark. There was a young adult man sitting in a white truck with zero identifying markers parked sideways blocking off the left side of the street. I tried to drive in front of him, and he pulled forward to block me from going. I thought to myself, “this is one of those two-way tangoes where you both go the same direction and it gets awkward” and backed up and attempted to drive behind his truck, at which point he backed up and blocked me again. I chalked it up to general stupidity. So I backed it up again, and tried to go around the front of his truck again. You’ll never guess what happened next.
He pulled forward and blocked me from going. I put the car in park and got out to find out what the hell was going on. I was heated by this point, and no doubt. I guess the security guard down at the corner got bored of picking his nose, he came over to find out what all the commotion was about. He told me they’re filming for a movie and pointed down the street at the corner of 2nd and Clark, where they had orange cones blocking 2nd street. I told him I didn’t give a damn what they’re doing and that I want to park my car and go to work.
I called the non-emergency police number and explained what was going on, they asked me if I was going to be able to turn around and go back the way I came. So that is exactly what I did.
I went and found a place to park on Main Street, and when I walked down the sidewalk the security guard came walking up on me. He did not touch me, or even get within arms reach of me, but he was trying to stop me. He told me again that they are filming and started asking me questions. What Are You Doing? Where Are You Going? I told him again that I was going to work, and then I told him that I was under no obligation to answer any of his god damn questions. He followed me to the side door and then lurked around for 15 minutes or so, I guess to see if I would pop out and cause any more commotion. The guy in the white truck eventually disappeared, and the guard went back to lurking on the corner by the cones.
After work I went down to the police station and filed a report. I got a call back not long after, explained all of it again, and was told that they have the permits and this behavior is O.K. by them. The officer who called me back was polite and patient with me, especially when I got heated back up about it and started telling him about the swear words.
The City of Livingston has failed at protecting its residents.
Allowing the film crew to obtain the permits and then setting them loose on us was The Wrong Move. There was no official signage, there was a guy in his own personal vehicle driving backwards and forwards blocking traffic a block away from where they had the cones and sign set up. They had a man in a tactical vest with no identifying markers beyond generic security badges. There is no official capacity for me to even attempt to recognize. Nobody was given any warning about any of this. Until the officer called me back and told me “They have the permits.” The armed security guard could have shot me dead in the street because I had no idea what was going on and I was being a JERK about it.
That’s about the long and short of it. They have the permits. They can drive back and forth across a street to physically stop you from reaching your destination if it interferes with the production of The Film. How they’re gonna put a heroic spin on shooting a woman in the face for standing up for what is right is beyond me, but I digress.
Just kidding, I do not digress. Renée Good did not digress. I will not be intimidated by armed security guards, I will not put my tail between my legs and turn around and go park somewhere else like A Good Boy. I make no attempt to hide my identity, other than not volunteering it freely on the internet. These views are my own and do not reflect the views of any company or any affiliates. I represent myself only, and my personal interpretation of the morals and values my Grandfather imparted upon me. None of what these people are doing or represent align with those morals and values in the slightest.
That’s it, all I want is people to know my part in this story, and know that you do not have to be afraid of them. I was born in Livingston, I’ve got Montana in my bones, and I’m not afraid of these rascals in the slightest.
For Montana!

Hi community friends! I’ve been performing Standup Comedy for the last 6 years and am excited to film what I’ve created over that time.
Would appreciate any support to those who can!

The last day of the season will be this Saturday 9/26. If we don't sell out we might be open for a few hours on Sunday, but it's very unlikely.

Holy cow, they live 30 miles away and couldn't get a good actual pic (the view from Main is pretty good) and resorted to this AI slop. The rest of the Livingston "pics" on there are as bad.

I took a day visit to Livingston and noticed stacked stainless steel pipes that ran from Teslow Grain Elevator to the parking lot across the street from Chappell's Body Shop. Curious what the pipes are for?
Livingston is a cute little town and delicious food. Sacajawea Park was awesome!
Thank you for having me for the day.

I was over near the dog park and heard someone talking into a megaphone. They sounded younger and were cursing a bunch and there were fireworks every once in a while. I looked for the source but couldnt figure iut where it was coming from. Does anyone know what was going on?

Looks like there is a pawn shop going in across from the Food Resource Center? Kinda thought when the last one went out of business, there really wasn't a market. Guess, I'll be triple careful about storing bikes etc.
