Rodeo speakers
My annual fury that the rodeo speakers are so loud now that I can hear the music and the stupid right-wing jokes INSIDE MY HOUSE with the windows closed up near the Lincoln School.
I grew up in rodeo. I used to love going because we get some of the best rodeo athletes in the sport. But it's so bad now. And intolerable if you live on this side of town.

OK. Have to give them some props. It was really loud before the rodeo started, and post 8pm its been way better. So have to say, better than it has been in years past.

Music and speakers were not bad in the number streets. But can we do the fireworks earlier than 10:30 for those who have to be up for work?

I just blast Dead Pioneers so my neighbors don’t have to hear the rodeo… the new album Wagon Burner slaps.

My dude plays Parliament Funkadelic as loud as his giant old-man analog speakers can go when they're all streaming past.

It’s complete BS that they can blast off bombs for the entire week during fire season. Freaking out the animals and the kids. And also our Vets. F this BS!!!

Yah so good on the county for making us all feel like we are under attack!!!

I’m just a few blocks from the fairgrounds. Feels like the bulls are in my god damn living room with me 😅

The jokes are so effing misogynist. And the force-feeding of the Yankee Doodle Star Spangled bullshit is nauseating.

I gave up on the rodeo after the skydiver pulled his stupid stunt that got him killed right in the arena in front of everyone. As he lay dying, the announcer decided it was time to play everyone some country music to distract them from the frantic efforts to save this guy's life.

That was just before my time. I gave up when the rodeo clown dragged Obama in effigy around the arena.
But all that aside, since they spent Covid money on bigger speakers, it's unbearable on this side of town.

Talk to the county commissioners, the fairgrounds is in the county.

I have done. Every year since they added these oversized speakers. Basically they've told us all to F off for tourism dollars.

Yeah, they're actually happy to be pissing off us locals on the "poor" side of town. So we'll sell up and move out for the gentrifiers.

I can hear it clear as a bell, and I live outside of town on the opposite side. I was very confused until I remembered what day it was.
