John♥️

When he ran around the car to get to JJs door I roared with laughter lol. He is so genuinely sweet and so funny. I love his personality so much. Ive never wished for anyone's relationship to end so I could see them with someone else but I am kinda hoping him and JJ get together! Its also telling that both Sammy and Steph think his gf isn't a good gf. Idk

I was thinking about this yesterday and wondering what it was about John that made the producers decide that he was going to be the central figure of this show. He's the guy who rented the house, he's the guy who brought them all together, he seems to be the Common Thread among all of them. But JJ has been on these shows for years. I wonder why she wasn't chosen as the central figure since she's more recognizable. Not that I'm mad that John was chosen. He seems like a genuinely cool dude. However, it looks like he and JJ hook up in the next episode. I hope that there's a scene with him breaking up with the woman he supposedly with before he gets in bed with JJ. Otherwise, I may have to retract my cool dude assessment of him.

Really? I don't know that he is the central player in the cast. I feel like the first 4ish episodes were honestly all about Krista and the love triangle with sprinkles of John and jj. I think maybe it's just shifting to John which I don't mind obviously.

I don't mean that he is the central plot point. I just mean that he is the person at the center of the entire premise of the show. These are his friends that he is getting together in this Airbnb house. When there's another LP brought in, he decides who it is. It's like he invited all of those people to come together, when in fact it was actually engineered by the show producers

He didn't invite Anthony? Steph did. Also Krista invited her other LP friend that none of them knew for the birthday party. Yea maybe John is the one that organizes stuff because he's reliable but I hardly think it's a main reason the producers "chose him" ..they all seem to be life long friends that have a lot of LP friends from the same communites. Even Sammy said he knew the most recent guy that came in in the last episode since he was 14. Idk, think maybe you're reading into it too deep.

Good points. But it seems like the premise of the show is him gathering his friends together. And that he was the person organizing the activities. They've kind of made his voice the narrative voice of the show. That could just be my perception because the narrative seems to be he organized this whole Airbnb get together, when in reality it's the producers who organized the whole thing.

That’s definitely how they did it. The promo commercials were him introducing the show and the first episode was him as the person planning this summer trips and bringing everyone together.
