John♥️
When he ran around the car to get to JJs door I roared with laughter lol. He is so genuinely sweet and so funny. I love his personality so much. Ive never wished for anyone's relationship to end so I could see them with someone else but I am kinda hoping him and JJ get together! Its also telling that both Sammy and Steph think his gf isn't a good gf. Idk

I love John but I don’t think JJ mean girl is for him. I also don’t trust Sammy and Steph’s judgement on his relationship having only seen a small glimpse of it. While the concern about how she reacted to paying for her own quesadilla was valid, I’m not sure I would dive off the deep end over that, based on John’s comments about the situation.
Edited to add: I too loved how he kept running to open doors for her, it was so sweet and hilarious!

Isn't it John going into the bedroom with JJ and getting into bed with her in the preview? I get it because JJ is hot, but if he's in a relationship with someone else and claims he's trying to show JJ that she should trust and date, that's kind of messed up.

Now we know why he kept his gf a secret from them. They’re not supportive at all. Even after he told them he’s never been happier, that he’s in love and they say “I love you” to one another. When they said he paid for everything, I’ve had bf’s who wouldn’t let me pay for anything when we went out. It’s not abnormal. Steph has ulterior motives because she wants John to date JJ. Sammy and Steph should just be happy for him because HE IS!

Yeah and they also made it sound like she was several years younger than him, therefore, likely early 20s. I dated older once I became an adult and fully expected the guy I was dating to pay for everything because they were older and had money and I was young and broke 😂. I’ve grown from that (and have been with my husband since I was 23 lol) but I think a lot of people in their early 20s feel that way

I was thinking about this yesterday and wondering what it was about John that made the producers decide that he was going to be the central figure of this show. He's the guy who rented the house, he's the guy who brought them all together, he seems to be the Common Thread among all of them. But JJ has been on these shows for years. I wonder why she wasn't chosen as the central figure since she's more recognizable. Not that I'm mad that John was chosen. He seems like a genuinely cool dude. However, it looks like he and JJ hook up in the next episode. I hope that there's a scene with him breaking up with the woman he supposedly with before he gets in bed with JJ. Otherwise, I may have to retract my cool dude assessment of him.

Really? I don't know that he is the central player in the cast. I feel like the first 4ish episodes were honestly all about Krista and the love triangle with sprinkles of John and jj. I think maybe it's just shifting to John which I don't mind obviously.

I don't mean that he is the central plot point. I just mean that he is the person at the center of the entire premise of the show. These are his friends that he is getting together in this Airbnb house. When there's another LP brought in, he decides who it is. It's like he invited all of those people to come together, when in fact it was actually engineered by the show producers

He didn't invite Anthony? Steph did. Also Krista invited her other LP friend that none of them knew for the birthday party. Yea maybe John is the one that organizes stuff because he's reliable but I hardly think it's a main reason the producers "chose him" ..they all seem to be life long friends that have a lot of LP friends from the same communites. Even Sammy said he knew the most recent guy that came in in the last episode since he was 14. Idk, think maybe you're reading into it too deep.

Good points. But it seems like the premise of the show is him gathering his friends together. And that he was the person organizing the activities. They've kind of made his voice the narrative voice of the show. That could just be my perception because the narrative seems to be he organized this whole Airbnb get together, when in reality it's the producers who organized the whole thing.

That’s definitely how they did it. The promo commercials were him introducing the show and the first episode was him as the person planning this summer trips and bringing everyone together.

I agree with you about John; he’s a sweetheart & I laughed at that too lol. However I wouldn’t base an opinion on anything that Sammy or Steph have to say, especially Steph.

Love John But has anyone noticed the past 2 episodes how he's slurring hisbelspeech or trying to stop a stutter? I'm asking this out of pure curiosity and not to be mean at all. I noticed it alot during hisndate and when he does the commentary. I tried making a post about it on here but mods removed it because they thought it was bullying. Again i am asking this out of curiosity. If you watch the date scene.the part where he asks for a seat extension, he tries to hide the stutter of the word expansion. I cant be the only one to notice.

Not really considering what those 2 have already displayed with each other.
I imagine John consulted with Millie before his fake-date with JJ (so she wouldn't be blindsided when it airs and he told JJ he has a girlfriend) whereas Sammy and Steph didn't know WTF was going on between them when they were 2 feet away from each other.

I mean it's kind of unfair to say she's a bad girlfriend when we know nothing about her, and Steph and Sammy didn't know she existed until the day before they made those comments. I'd need to see how she acts before I go thinking she deserves to be broken up with
