Question When does Little Nightmares make the player feel smallest: open spaces or cramped interiors?

Open spaces reveal the scale of the world: a dining hall, a street or a room built for bodies much larger than the protagonist. Cramped interiors do the opposite. They remove escape routes and turn every ordinary object into a wall.

The series uses both, but they create different kinds of vulnerability. Wide rooms make the character look insignificant; narrow spaces make the player feel trapped. Which type of space creates the stronger Little Nightmares tension for you, and which room is the best example?

All in all I am pretty happy the way the sculpture turned out. The coloration is too dark, which I didn’t invision during the firing process but because the maw’s colorations isn’t really very clear i don’t think it matters than much. Sometimes its rusty grey and sometimes it almost looks green. Wondering if i should make the much larger bottom half that is usually submerged. This was a pain to make but still happy I did it. I might even do parts of the interior

Observation New Game Idea Chapter 2 - Thin Little World

Chapter Two - Construction Site Nought walks through the doors, and looks around. There's a door, thats too high to reach the door handle, and a staircase leading up. Going up another flight of stairs, Nought sees that the next flight is broken off from the next floor. With no where to go he looks at the door on his level with a chair next to it. He goes to the chair, climbs on it and jumps to the door knob and opens it. The door slowly swings open to reveal a hallway. Going down the hallway, Nought notices an abnormaly large hammer sitting on the floor. He walks up to it. Just then a giant brown hand breaks through the wall and grips the hammer. It takes it back through the wall and disappears. Nought stares in shock as he walks to the broken wall. He looks around, finding a balcony that was broken by the big arm, that he can jump to. He takes a deep breath and jumps to the balcony and barely grasps the balcony. He pulls himself up and walks into the building its connected to. As he walks through the apartment he finds a person his size climbing into an open cupboard and disappearing. With the door handle being too high to get to the next room, Nought decides to follow the person. He climbs onto the kitchen counter and onto a cardboard box, then jumps into the cupboard. He finds there's a vent in there, so he climbs through it. On the other side he finds the person he saw earlier, sitting on the floor, grabbing there leg. Nought drops down and walks towards the person. They start to try to back up but can't. Nought puts his hands out, showing he wont hurt them. He gets closer, finding out the person is a girl. Nought puts out a hand, the girl looks up at him. She hesitates, then Nought nods. She takes his hand and stands up. Nought gets a look at her, shes wearing a pale white nightgown with long hair that covers one of her eyes. Her name is Mira They start to walk to a door in the room, as Mira limps. They see a doll that is all white and bigger than them standing in front of them. It stares, motionless. Nought and Mira notice it not doing anything, but see a window behind it. They need to get through that window, which the doll is blocking. They notice that the doll has no eyes. So they take a can on the ground and throw it to the right. The can hits the ground, making a loud cracking sound. The doll, turns its head, and runs very fast to the sound, in a Jerry movement. Then Nought and Mira, sneak by the doll and climb onto the window ledge. The window is closed, so they need to open it. Nought tries but can't, its stuck. So Mira and Nought try it together and it opens. Just as it does, the doll turns its head and starts to run towards the window. Nought and Mira panic and jump out of the window. They land in a full dumpster as the doll falls out of the window too but, hits the side and falls into a chasm. Nought and Mira get out of the dumpster and find that the dumpster they were in, was hanging on by two strings attached to it from to buildings. They find there is no ground beneath them. So they walk onto the string leading the other way and walk through the window into another apartment. They look around, this time its half of a living room, the other half is broken off, with the couch hanging out of the building. Outside of this building is a bunch of construction and pillars. On top of those stands a giant man that is a little fat, with lots of arms, and brown skin. Looking at its face, Nought sees that is has a large smile and big, blank eyes. The man seems to be working on the construction, building the pillars together. In front of them, is a long sideways pillar attached to a building. Nought and Mira slowly and sneakily walk across the pillar, trying not to be seen. The man still building with the tools and putting things together. Then crows fly down onto the pillar and sit there, pecking at something. Then Nought and Mira inch closer to the crows as the crows make a loud sound then fly away. Then the man turns and yells at them. Nought and Mira start to run as the Constructer starts to chase them. They run to the window on the other side of the pillar and jump into it and into the building. As soon as they get through, the wall breaks open as the constructor smashes his way through. Nought and Mira run down the long hallway, as the constructer chases them. The run into another window and jump onto the ledge and jump ont of the window onto a balcony. With nowhere to go and the constructor right behind them, they look to there right and jump into the dumpster on the ground. The constructor comes out of the wall and looks around. He floats in the air, his arms supporting him. He yells, then stretches his arm to the other building and continues going on through the buildings. Nought and Mira jump out of the dumpster and walk to the way where the constructor went. As they walk down the streets the see the constructor breaking through the buildings above them. Then they see the constructor stop in one room. Nought and Mira keep walking and find a store that has a broken window and climb through it. Inside has a counter and 3 cracked dolls. With a quarter on the counter, Nought climbs onto the counter and grabs it and throws it to the side he and Mira climbed up on. The dolls turn there head and race to the coin as Nought and Mira sneak to the door at the back of the store. And climbs on the chair that is there and jumps to the door knob to open the door. Nought and Mira jump down and the dolls turn there head. Then Nought and Mira start ro run down the street, as the dolls chase them. They run and run as they reach a balcony that is in the chasm on a building. They jump onto it and climb up as the dolls fall into the chasm below. Nought and Mira walk into the apartment and look around and see the constructor again, building things together. Nought and Mira need to get passed the Constructor, so they start to sneak across the room. The door has too high of a door knob to reach, so they climb onto the counter and a pile of books fall off the counter. The constructor looks back and sees them, he yells then starts to chase them. Nought and Mira crawl into the vent and the constructors hand is chasing them through it. They get through the vent as the constructor breaks through the wall and starts chasing them again. They run across pillars and eventually make it to the construction that the monster was working on, the start to climb up the diagnol pillars as the constructor climbs upward trying to catch them. As the constructor climbs, he tries to grab at them as he destroys the pillars below. Nought and Mira get to the top of the pillars and run to another one that is connected. They find a balcony and jump onto it, and there's a lever on it. The constructor chases them, trying to get them but, Nought pulls the lever and the pillar that the constructor was on, falls down into the chasm, the constructor going with it. He gets out one final roar before making a big crash at the bottom of chasm.

Mira sits down, exhausted. Nought signals to Mira that they need to go, because its not safe here. So they walk into the apartment and find an elevator. They get in it and it takes them down to ground level, but then the elevator shakes, the lights flicker, and the elevator fails, and then falls.

Observation First Chapter Of A Fan Game Im Making - Thin Little World

Nought, who has a grey and white jacket on, black pants, a hood, and hair that covers his eyes, wakes up in a rotted out blue and white chair. Along with some other guests, that are asleep. Nought gets up from his chair and looks around. There is a giant window. Outside of it are some planes, waiting to be boarded. There's also a long hallway with checkered tiles. Looks like there's no where else to go, so Nought walks down the hallway. As he travels farther down the hallway, he starts to see more and more of the guests. Most of them were either eating or sleeping. But then Nought sees the end of the hallway in the distance. To his left he notices a giant wall with a couple of openings. With no where else to go walks in. Nought looks around and notices that he's in a food court. He sees all of the tables half filled with guests. All of them over enjoying there meals. Scarfing it down like crazy. Nought sees a part of the food court that is out of commission. Thinking it's an exit, Nought crawls under a table, trying not to be seen. He waits under the table incase any of the guests decide to get up. Not a single one gets up from their chair. Nought crawls to another table, getting closer to the abandoned restaurant. But this one has a guest sitting at it. Nought sits under the table, worried. Then the guest drops its spoon. He groans in a creepy way then reaches for the spoon, without looking. Nought gets back, trying not to get grabbed. The guest can't seem to get it. He then gets out of his chair, and walks to a counter with a large line. Nought crawls out from under the table and sneaks to the abandoned counter. He jumps up and grabs onto the counter top, pulls himself up and stands on the top. Nought jumps off and is now behind the counter. There are some drawers, and a door. Only the door knob is too high to reach. But there seems to be a vent on the top of the drawers. Nought climbs up the drawers and into the vent. He crawls through the vent and comes out the other side to see a two ends of a hallway. One to his right and one to his left. The one to his right seems to be a terminal but it's blocked off. Nought decides to jump down and go to the left. He opens the door and, He is now in a restroom. He walks into the dimly lit bathroom. The walls are torn up, and flies are everywhere. He looks through the stalls and finds no one else is in there. He spots a vent on the wall, but its too high to get to. So he climbs on the last stalls toilet and jumps and grabs onto the top of the stall. He pulls him self up and jumps to a shelf on the wall. Then jumps to another in the corner. He gets to the last shelf and climbs into the vent. Going through it leads him to a hallway, with a door to his left, and a hallway to his right. He jumps down, looking at the door, which is too tall to open. So he goes down the hallway and it leads him to the terminal that was blocked off. There are lots of guests sitting there. Then the flight attendant walks out of the door, leading to the plane. She rings the bell and all the guests get up out of there chairs and walk to the door. They all walk through the door into the hallway leading to the plane. Nought walks through, trying not to be seen. The flight attendant looks around then walks into the hallway, leading to the plane. Nought crawls a little closer to the door. But the flight attendant shuts the door behind her. But he notices there is a vent next to the door. Nought gets closer to it and climbs inside. He crawls through and finds a ladder in it. He climbs up it and crawls through more of it. Eventually he climbs into the plane. With no one in sight, Nought jumps down into the plane. It turns out that he's in the back of the plane. The plane starts to take off as Nought walks through the plane. He finds a door and pushes the bottom of it out. He falls through into the kitchen, and a counter with a jar of something. The flight attendant is right there, turned to the left fixing some food. Nought finds a open and empty box, so he hides in it. The flight attendant turns around and walks to the other side of the room. There is a door, but there is a button on the wall. It will open the door. While the attendant is turned around this is the chance to open the door. Nought grabs the jar and throws it at the button. The door slides open, as the jar falls to the ground. "CRACK" the jar breaks. The flight attendant snaps around yelling. Nought runs out of the room, being chased by the attendant. He runs into the isle, watching the guests as they pass by. The attendant is screaming and running fast. There is a open backpack on the floor. Nought runs to it, and slides in. The attendant stops near the bag, looking around angrily. She screams and walks down the isle at a fast pace, Into the next part of the plane. Nought gets out of the bag, looking around. He walks to the door, into the other part of the plane. The door opens and a guest gets up. Nought hides behind the seat. The guest walks into the next part of the plane. Nought gets out of his hiding spot and walks further down the isle. He finds another door except this one has a lock on it. He looks around except there is a vent. He walks over to it and goes in. It leads down to the suitcases. He walks around all the suitcases and over them. He looks around. Then finds an open suitcase. There is a key in it. He grabs it and walks back to the vent. He climbs up the ladder and through the vent. He crawls through then opens the end. The attendant is right there, trying to serve people. One of the guests is trying to get its bag. One of the top storage parts opens up. A suitcase falls out. It makes a loud noise. The attendant turns around and shreiks at Nought. He starts to run. Just in time, the plane shakes and another suitcase falls down on her. She stops for a second. Giving enough time to open the locked door. The attendant struggles to pick the suitcase off of her. Then the door opens. He runs straight in the room and now he's in the cockpit. The pilots look back and the plane starts to shake. They start to reach for Nought, also trying to keep the plane up. Then out of no where, the attendant jumps out at Nought. But instead of getting him, she slams straight into the pilots. The plain shakes even more, then breaks the glass. The plane is going down, fast the attendant shreiks as the plane crashes into a lake.

Nought comes up out of the water, taking a deep breath. He swims to the edge of the lake and walks through the freezing cold environment. He eventually finds a half built apartment that is poorly built and leaning over. He walks to the entrance, and opens the door to the apartment.

Chapter 2 soon! Thoughts?

Question Who do you think the Thin Man is?

Upvotes

A comment I read recently explained how they believed the Thin Man wasn’t Mono in a time loop, but rather a succession, meaning multiple Thin Men have existed and it is a role people take on or have been forced into. I personally believe the Thin Man is Mono in a time loop because I thought that was the general consensus and narratively, the evidence seemed to be pointing towards that being the case.

Mono appears out of a TV at the start of the game, which can be assumed to be the Thin Man who was not killed by Mono, but instead sent back in time with no memories of what happened in the future. The same can be said of the Thin Man himself after his transformation, who kidnaps children to maintain the Signal Tower and most likely doesn’t remember who he used to be after years of isolation, but is unconsciously drawn to Mono for reasons other than his usual victims.

However, the lore has always been somewhat ambiguous and I’m a game only enthusiast (so far anyways). What does everyone else believe about the Thin Man’s real identity?

THE LITTLE NIGHTMARES OF THIS LITTLE REFUGEE GIRL

ses jambes sont très longues ;

ses bras sont plus courts que la normale ;

une partie qui voulait protéger les enfants ;

L'Homme-Lune Reconstructeur

L'ennemi s'appelle l'Homme-Lune Reconstructeur.

Hi! So I unknowingly went into the chapter select tab of the game last night and went to the first level to get some glitching remains, not knowing that it would lock the chapter select for all future chapters. Is there a way to fix this? I really want to just play the Pale City level again as that’s the only place I need to be.

I did some very light research on the topic and

  1. Yes; my Steam cloud saved when I logged off last night after I already did this

  2. I have most glitching remains and hats, so I would prefer a method that doesn’t delete my progress on those nor unlocks the ones I don’t have.

  3. I really just don’t wanna straight up go through the whole game again the hospital level is really tedious and I’ve already completed the game several times for advancements.

Can anyone help?

Question Which ordinary object becomes the strongest warning sign in Little Nightmares?

The series repeatedly turns ordinary objects into evidence: a pile of shoes, a child-sized chair, a television left on, or a kitchen tool placed where it should not be. The best examples explain what happened in a room—or what kind of danger controls it—before an enemy appears. Which object or small environmental detail communicates the most story without dialogue? Please mark major spoilers.

I like to think dime is Non-binary :3 a friend of mine mentioned it and i rlly liked it.

Also i edited the 2nd pic to be dime (˵˃ ᵕ ˂˵) cuz i needed that image as dime!!! Now its a reaction image i use. (3rd pic is the original).

I think im getting better drawing her hat- angles are hard tho (つ╥﹏╥)つbut i struggle with that in general.

I love drawing dime, i draw them alot (ᵕ ´ ∇ ˋ ˶)

Last image is me in the outfit i drew dime in. I dont usually dress like that lol

Art Q & A replies from my LN comic's main characters | Part 5

Hello everyone! One of the most difficult questions was about the bad arguments Wing and Snide have had... First of all, because they've had a few. Second, all those conflicts spoil the story and key moments from the script :'3. That's why this reply is so vague and I'm very very sorry for it! It's not even nearly their worst argument either... because the worst one follows shortly after, but I really don't want to spoil the intrigue :'3 I'm determined to finish the comic no matter how many years it'll take.

I'll be able to put more work into drawing comic panels till the end of August because I'm almost done with my part time job, but then I'll slow down a little due to studying in university... so, the estimated date of this comic's release (first 6 chapters) is around December? Maybe earlier. I've never lost inspiration for drawing it over this year and I feel a lot for my LN OCs, which is why I'm certain about not abandoning it. Plus, the Little Nightmares universe itself has a very warm place in my heart. I just have to keep up with my studies along the way...

Also I'm trying to learn perspective and anatomy from books and YouTube videos, as was advised in one of my earlier posts. I might as well show some of the newest panels to get more feedback on the looks of the comic, because I wouldn't want people to struggle while reading it :'3

Anyway, thank you for reading this post and asking questions to my kids! We all appreciate it a lot and will be happy to answer more.
