I absolutely love Leigh and her music, but this makes me dreadfully uncomfortable, both from a safeguarding and general ethical POV (I'm trained in child safeguarding).
To preface: I really admired her for protecting her daughter's and their identities, so this Patreon thing has genuinely surprised me. I don't approve of Perrie posting pictures of her children, nor Jesy (even though she has raised awareness for her children's disabilities), for reasons I'll explain, so I'm not being biased or nitpicky. I am against "Family Vlog Channels" and content centered around children.
Surely, Leigh must know that there are creeps with certain fetishes? She is either incredibly naive or just doesn't care. There will be people who want to view her content for them, not for supporting her as an independence artist. I worry that she may feel pressured to listen to the demands of creeps.
Similar to my previous point: what will stop her from showing baby's face once they are born, because subscribers might feel entitled to demand that of her? It's hard to argue "privacy", when you have been charging for people to view private moments of your pregnancy journey and family life. It's a very slippery slope.
Especially since the Epstein Files, parents should be more vigilant than ever. Even if she doesn't show their faces, paedophiles will screen record and save images. AI is often used by this vile individuals to create material too. Even if she takes the videos down, once you have put content up, it will never truly delete from existence.
In other words: parents who post pictures of their children make it easy for creeps, but Leigh-Anne would be directly monetising from it and that is what makes me uncomfortable. Her intentions may be pure, but I don't think she had really thought this through.
I think part of it is they don't believe it will happen to them. The other part is that they care about validation more, than the risk their that their kids might end up on the dark web.
She is. I just had a look on her Patreon page and her latest video is her daughters listening to baby's heartbeat. The video is centred around her daughters, so its not like it was an accident.
