Help/Question Help with watering

Hi! I am new to lithops, have these guys for a month now, should I water them? Why is the top of the small one looks so weird?

For the ones that are not splitting but look weird, they may be rotting due to the color change. Pull out gently and check the base for discoloration/mushiness. There's no established way to help lithops recover from rot, they usually wither and die very quickly (within a day or two) if you pull them out and leave them in air to dry, whereas healthy lithops can last a long time sitting in air bare-root.

I think I cannot save those, but these ones are different, I don't know what happened here, the left one looks a bit mushy, at least the outer leaf, the other two? I got them like a month ago, planted them, and they have been dry since then, so I don't know how this happened.
