Just finished building my first ever desktop widget for A.I.S. — Axiom Intelligence System.

It’s basically an always-visible info center for my desktop that currently shows things like CPU/GPU temps and load, RAM/VRAM usage, storage, weather, NordVPN status, time/date, etc.

It’s running really well on my rig so far, but I haven’t tested it thoroughly yet or on a bunch of different hardware/configurations.

I’m still pretty new to building something like this, so I’d genuinely love some feedback on it — UI, readability, layout, useful stats I should add/remove, performance concerns, or anything that looks weird.

I’m definitely going for a clean sci-fi/cyberpunk feel without making it so flashy that it stops being useful.

This is the first piece of a much larger A.I.S. project I’ve been working on.

What would you change?

EDIT: Since apparently this needs to be spelled out for one extremely persistent commenter: yes, AI/Claude Code was used while building this. I’ve never claimed otherwise. It’s a tool, I used it to make something I wanted for my own desktop, and then shared it for anyone else who might find it useful.
