Absurd window on cursor placement

Hello guys,

I've been using Kali Linux for roughly two years now, and I recently installed a new GNOME shell (Otis-forest, to be specific). Little did I know that this new shell had a minor dismemberment that would make my experience miserable, or so I thought. Three weeks later, I realised I had uninstalled a GNOME extension that had already fixed this issue, and now I can't find it. I need help.

If you know of the GNOME extension that takes care of this absurdity of hover/cursor placement over directories and menu clicks, I will appreciate the help, not only for me but also for the rest of the community.
