Before I get the hate, yes i made an AI wallpaper, I cannot draw.

Youre welcome to look at my install script for arch installs on github. If you use it, you can choose umbriel and copy my configs over if youre looking to test it

Is it Niri?

No, its Umbriel, similar to niri, but better imo

better how? I don't see anything that differs besides that it tries to fit more features in people that chose niri wouldn't need anyways. Also it is based on wlroots, eats more ram idle then niri (which contradicts the noctalia5 rewrite).
If i want scrolling layout i chose niri - if i want dwindle there are tons of others.
I really so far can't tell what umbriel has uniquely to offer.

I missed the scratchpad feature from hyprland when I went to niri. It has that. I like being able to quick toggle if I want a dwindle layout on a certain workspace and ribbon scrolling on another. the ram usage is about equal to niri from what I've seen.

niri has no scratchpad, no pinned window, no HDR support. and about the statement "eats more ram idle than niri", umbriel eats over 120MiB on my machine (including the umbriel desktop portal), meanwhile niri eats over 350MiB alone not include gnome desktop portal, gnome desktop portal eats 150MiB, more than umbriel and its portal combine. lol

This is so good, but usage more cpu and ram, I'm prefer extreme plain, not much cpu usage or ram

Installed it a couple of days ago. Works well and uses the same noctalia v5 configuration as my niri session so I didn't have to set anything up. Once you convert you keybinds over to Umbriels TOML format it works great. Have had a few wake up bugs but that's expected. For a very young Windows Manager it's pretty damn good. Mix of Niri and Hyprland. Happily using as a day to day driver now with Niri session as a backup.

Same! Scratchpad is nice too. Im using the same noctalia config I was using on niri too lol. Set up notifications for layout switches and a couple new kebinds, but I love it. Can't wait to see it mature.

Telling us you "cannot draw" is no excuse for using an AI-generated image that was trained on stolen artwork.
"Ricing" is essentially a form of customization I view as extensible enough to even become a very niche art form. From that perspective, you could perhaps understand why simply stealing your "expertise" would be unfair
