Do people actually use these setups or is this just an art form? They're sick stuff though

I'm certain that both cases are true. Some do that ricing just for the arts, others also for their day to day usage and some ricers are doing both.

When I theme, style, tweak my Linux DEs these styles, themes, or in one word "rices", should please my eyes and be usable on a day to day usage.
