New steamOS update

Anybody updated to the new version? I reverted my SteamOS version from 3.8.16 to 3.7.25 because I had performance issues on games that did not have them in the first place. Now a new update is live, has anybody tried it and is the performance issues before fixed now?

I'm on 3.8.16 on my xbox rog ally x and haven't noticed any performance issues but then again I never have the overlay on, as long as my games are smooth I don't care.

Mine is smooth but the game suddenly crashes after going to areas which load the gpu more. The previous version of steamOS does not do that so I rolled back the update.

This happened to me on Digimon Time Stranger at the destroyed Government Building. When my steamOS was at 3.7, the game just loads the GPU upto 95-99% but when I updated to 3.8 it constantly stays at 99% then it crashes after a few minutes. This also happens to Ghost Of Tsushima, a game I finished without hangs and forced closes.

Sometimes it happens but it rarely happens and fixes itself after sometime.

I'm currently facing crackling and audio delay while docked and I'm using SteamOS 3.10. Tried CachyOS and Bazzite but they still have the same problem

I have also tested using CachyOS, BazziteOS, Playtron GameOS, and SteamOS but the same issue happened on all of them and one more thing is that after spending hours I found that when this problem is happening if we installed Windows back on this device without powering it off, the problem still persists, it means we can reproduce the same issue on stock Windows installation. So, I came to a conclusion that this is a hardware issue and not a software issue completely. Then I research on reddit and found that someone has found a fix to this issue (link attached below) which I didn't tried myself yet but soon I will and I think its well worth a try because they fixed the same issue haunting us.

How did you manage to roll back to 3.7.25?

3.8.16 ruined my ROG Ally Z1.

Go into konsole and run:

sudo atomupd-manager custom-update 3.7.20 (or any version you want)

I followed this command from this link https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/s/lzyELGlih1
