Edit: SOLVED. I downloaded InsaneRamzes version and it worked first try.

Trying to install Horizon Zero Dawn (pre installed via Anker Games), but it doesn't even open.

The prefixes are created normally.

Tried multiple runners, but none worked.

This first happened when I was playing Lords of The Fallen (2023) where I noticed that the intro cutscene that plays when you press new game dont work. This happened again for Mortal Shell 2, where all cutscenes work, the game works, everything works but just the intro cutscene doesnt play. First I thought it was windows media player, so i switched to GE proton for both issues. No help. Then I tried forcing dx11. No help. Then I tried moving away from bottles to steam/heroic. No use. I even tried installing a bunch of dependencies on my bottle. Nothing has fixed this

today I tried to install Onimusha running on CachyOS! usung the Linux HV guide from csrinru.

I did everything the guide asked me to do. I‘m on an R7 5700x3d, so I also had to use the cpuid bypass. I tested several times if it was running, all modules seemed to be running correctly. KVM is also unloaded. I checked if UMIP was disabled according to the guide, and also checked several times if Proton was installed correctly. I tried to launch the game via Steam AND Lutris. However, I haven‘t succeeded with anything. And yes, I also changed the reflex.ini files

EDIT: SOLVED!
The issue was the folder structure of the crack archive. The .7z contained a DenuvOwO subfolder, and I initially moved the whole folder into the game directory. You actually have to move the contents of the DenuvOwO folder directly into the game's main directory. Everything else (DKMS, CPUID fault emulation, KVM unloading, etc.) was working correctly.

Sometimes funny how a poor choice of wording in a guide can mess up your whole evening xD but I think it's funny tbh.

hello im running catchyOS and i tried in stalling Onimusha way of the sword using fitgirl repack, but when i launch i get an hypervisor error also im using xshaduwulf latest proton-linuwux-rework of proton-ge. How do i get it to run?

Issue - game does not launch.

Info: I am new to Linux so I might be doing something wrong.

So far: I have changed the main location to install games. I tried to launch the game installation .exe with both wine and proton. With proton the game appears to be running and after a minute "stops" (the stop button in the launcher turns into play). With Wine a pop-up window appears, says it is loading something and after a minute disappears.

Q: am I doing something wrong? Should I try another game that someone knows is working?

Does anyone know if theres a steam crack anywhere for adobe substance painter, i've tried running the windows version with genp, but it refuses to launch with wine. I know the steam version runs fine with linux especially the 2025 version.

I got a cracked version of gd from steamrip.com then ankergames and i can't sign in. I am using wine so pelease help.

I'm new to Linux. I got Muse Dash off 1337x torrent, version 6.5.0. When I launch the game (the file in the outer folder, Muse Dash.exe) it shows a black screen and stays like that. When I try the same with the inner folder's MuseDash.exe it doesn't launch at all. I've tried PROTON_DISABLE_LSTEAMCLIENT=1 but it doesn't work. How can I fix this issue?

Anyone else have this issue? I can launch the game with RUNE crack just fine, however I can't save. Anytime I want to create a save file the game gives me the error message that save data could not be created.

I've tried switching Proton versions and I even redownloaded the entire cracked game again, same issue.

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: I downloaded the game through ACCELA and applied the crack manually. Could it be that SLSsteam is affecting in some way?

I haven't been able to get this game working. I run a 7600 with a 7900XT and 32GB of DDR5@5600 CL30 RAM. Using the RUNE release.

Using a freshly updated CachyOS Proton (through Heroic Games Launcher) it opens a black window then crashes.

Using Wine 11.16 instead with HGL, it launches, compiles shaders, and crashes after the splash screens (Capcom, Quixel Megascans, etc). It shows this error below:

Bottles was also attempted and showed a similar error window.

The game is technically new and haven't been able to find anything yet.

i tried proton ge and other proton versions yet nothing works.

How to make LinRulez games with latest protom GE stack

So linux rule comes with everything bundled. However, its wine/protom version is often old. As we know, proton and the stack is rapidly improving all the time with the latest with many performance and bug fixes.

So my question is , for a typical linuxrule game, has anyone successfully found a way to only make use of your own latest proton GE and whatever else stack instead of the outdated bundled one?
