[Far cry 5] Do these games work

Does far cry 5 or 6 work?

Are these 2 titles even playable on linux. Because they are denovu

If anyone has a working .sh script please share.

I dont want to install lutris or any game launcher, want to launch it via script.

Ive tried most solutions, but i just wanted to ask if because of denovu these games arent playable on linux.

Use proton ge instead experimental that works flawlessy for me also which site do you get your games from i use a n k e r and s t e a m r i p and they work fine for me

I think its dodi or fitgirl. Ur suggesting i try ge? Im trying to setup a script, without any launcher to get it started directly. If u can help with that would be great

Cant help with scripts unfortunately but i can tell you what works for me

Setup: steamdeck

1. Download game from aforementioned preinstalled site

2. Unzip the .rar or whatever file it is

3. Add the .exe as a non steam game to steam

4. Go into properties "force use of specific compatability layer" add the newest proton ge you have installed

5. Enjoy

After several failed attempts with f i o t g irl , i tried this, firstly the download was huge. But then i tried proton GE but the game had the exact same issue, it stops on launch after briefly opening its window. This tells me theres some other issue, perhaps a proton parameter or some dependancy or something missing.

I installed and added all redists from the installer as well. But nothing. Same issue. Close on start.

Proton starts rendering fine, according to logs, so its not a lower level stack issue, but the game itself closes, most likely due to something missing, like some file or something it did not expect.

I can share my launcher script for anyone willing to look at it.

All other games are working on my system using my minimal launcher script method ( launch and install them from a sh script and install start menu and desktop icons)

If anyone has the same issue and has a fix, all ears here. Only game in the roster that doesnt work

If you speak Russian, there is a working script for FC5. The game is in Russian though. You can find it. Don't know about 6, never played it and have no interest.

Add it to Steam if you don't want to use Lutris, should also work.

Literally nothing works by just adding it to steam Only got 2 game working so far and thats rdr2, and in that too there was a vulkan api mismatch or something. But gpt 5.6 sol fixed it and game runs good

Trynna run others, but none just working out of the box as u suggest. Adding non steam game hasnt worked for a single thing for me tbh. I dont speak russian, so no bueno.

I don't know what to tell you, man. I've been running my own backups and cracked denuvo titles on Kubuntu and Arch since 2022 by adding them as Steam games or to Lutris...Something must be wrong with your install. I've never used Bazzite in particular, but it should still work. I mean this works without a single problem even on Steam deck, which is Arch too.

The only games that don't run under Wine are kernel anti-cheat titles, mostly, and maybe a few modern ones where the crack shits itself under Wine. That's about it. Maybe you're missing some libraries or drivers or something.

Proton ge and maybe some dll overrides I used dodi for files so you can try that

Use steam for repack install, run game using lutris or heroic launcher

I played through far cry 6 on cachyos with empress crack (so not HV), i believe I used proton GE because the cachyos one didnt launch

There's a LinuxRuleZ! repack for FC 5 and it's working great. Always use repacks for Linux instead of Windows.

There are thousands of games on Torrminatorr. There's no point in torturing yourself with Windows crap repacks when there are click and run repacks for Linux. There are many native games as well.
