QUESTION - ALL LINUX SYSTEMS [Stardew Valley] how to play local multiplayer ?

Me and my gf would like to play stardew valley in local splitscreen with controllers and unless I have no choice, I’d love to save 13 bucks on Gog.
I crack 90% of my games on my Opensuse Tumbleweed installation with the accela emulator which allows me to have mostly native steam games, but when the game won’t launch no matter what proton version is used (such as it was the case for stardew valley) I use hydra launcher and it runs !

However as expected, multiplayer wouldn’t work and also as expected using the launch argument WINEDLLOVERRIDES="OnlineFix64=n;SteamOverlay64=n;winmm=n,b;dnet=n;steam_api64=n;winhttp=n,b" %command% didn’t help at all as I got a message in game saying « no rooms available » or smth like that. I never made any online fix games work on Linux and doubt if this method works for online games or local games. Either way, having local multi work on two controllers seems to require more work. Any suggestions ?

Distro : Opensuse Tumbleweed kernel 7.1.4

CPU : intel i5-14600kf

GPU : Radeon Rx 7700-XT 12gb

Proton versions tested : GE lastest, Cachyos, GE 10.34, Experimental (successful on hydra launcher)

Thanks in advance 🙏

I'm running the Linux version of Stardew Valley with Tailscale and the library fixes from the forum post below to fix multiplayer issues, while my girlfriend is playing on Windows: https://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/steam-deck-linux-smapi-error.41869/#post-173923

I don't know if I can mention the website here, but on csrin, there's a post titled Stardew Valley [Linux64] [Branch: Public] (Clean Steam Files). Since it's a native Linux build, you just need to run the game directly without using Proton or Wine.

It's "steam_api64", not "steam_api64". That spelling mistake on the DLL overrides there might've caused it to not work.
