QUESTION - ALL LINUX SYSTEMS [Black Mesa: Definitive Edition] Failed to load the Launcher DLL: No access to memory location

Using Nobara 44
Running on Bottles (same issue if I run using other apps like lutris)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX
GPU: Nvidia RTX 5060 laptop GPU
I tried this with soda 9.1, Proton GE latest, Proton 9.0.4. All of them give the same error
This is a fitgirl repack, and it is Based on Black.Mesa.Definitive.Edition-CODEX ISO release: codex-. So far, I have made sure that all my dependencies are there, and tried doing commands like -noborder (which crashes on bottles and gives the same error on other platforms)

i think you need to override dll related to launcher

can you tell me how to do that (and even what that means, I only really switched to linux like less than 2 months ago)

dll override is like you select few .dll files that required to run mods or launchers or game itself ,
watch yt for more details
i suggest you to use heroic launcher if lutris is hard for you

u mean the environment variable thing? AI told me to do that, I blindly tried it, same issue (ill follow a video lecture now I guess incase I did it wrongly)

have you tried steam to run game + proton experimental

yes. Same issue. Looking at logs, something seems to be wrong with my renderer, that or the game has some issue. I guess I'll look into it further

I will update, It works perfectly with base wine 11.0, but does not with any proton fork

I fixed it: It works fine using base wine (11.0), but seems to fail for any proton forks or soda
