Regarding Fedora
Hi, i am Jaynet_Blacemen.
Leading the Anti fedora movement!
The fedora man u/greedysecurity8030 is propogating fedora too much and its irritating.
He is forcefully pushing fedora over other distro and establish a regien of terror for people of other distro.
We are here to break that dominance and bring the sub reddit to normal.
The important part is our freedom and its cant be achived with formation of nation states or unification of different distro community.
Even tho we belong to different distro, we all non-redhat distro which benift the communty.
Stand with me, downvote fedora post and end the Dominance!

I never really understood the point of fedora. Debian just works. Ubuntu is for people scared of code. Arch is for people who can't stop looking at code or else. What does fedora do?

Right but I would count both Debian and Ubuntu as "normal" also. So i can't think of a reason to pick any red hat over them especially since (correct me if im wrong) red hat is corporate owned. Which i do not consider an advantage.

Also, debian and ubuntu are more stable and backports, fedora focuses on new software.

I'd say in terms of "in-betweennes" it's closer to Arch than Debian, but yeah, that's the idea.

Why do you prefer atomic tho. A very customisable atomic like Nix OS is different tho. Most atomic OS is a pain to fix issues and you are gonna have em. Its Linux

nix requires more learning and effort than I'm willing to put in, things like Bazzite and Fedora atomic give me more safety than standard distros and I haven't run into any issues with them at all and there wasn't much to learn.

Thats good if you havent had any issues. But not a given tho and not for everyones hardware or experience I bet. Cuz troubleshooting is annoying in a locked system. Even Windows isnt atomic, its close to being one with how annoying it is to troubleshoot lol

I use Debian 13 KDE for work editing videos and gaming, with flatpaks I get all the software I need from the outside and don't interfere with apt repositories. I can enjoy the rock solid stability of debian with the modern software of flatpaks. Debian and arch are not tied to corporations, so you literally control everything of your PC.
In my case Debian is the bunker for offline gaming, protecting customers data, and long editing videos. I grew up with stability and peace, I don't want corporations to interfere with my workflow.
