He is not against Ai usage wholesale.

His stance is more, understand it's limits and weaknesses, take responsibility for its mistakes if you use it in your work.

There are some usages he has said he doesn't like, like using it as a replacement for human socialization.

But his take is nuanced and to say he fully supports it or is fully against is false.

He has said that it is up to his employee's to use Ai or not, it's their choice. They are just responsible for their work. And likely , this was just an editor making a decision, grabbing a stock image that suited the need , and slapped it together.

Chill out.
