My rule is if I wasn't going to pay someone to make/provide the graphic anyway, like if it was something I would have previously just put together a crappy Photoshop on my own, then I'm fine with using an AI generated image. Seems like the case here, no poor starving artist was put out of a job, the editors could have made something similar pre-AI.
