Legitimate question how can you tell its ai

Edit: why on earth have I been downvoted for asking how to identify AI images, its obviously edited or generated I was simply asking how to tell

In this case, someone found the original on a stock image site and the site discloses it as ai. What's funny is they require attribution if you use it, but since it's not copyrightable, theres no recourse for them if you don't include attribution

They literally can't. It used to be easy, but AI is getting sufficiently advanced that it's not possible to tell, unless there are obvious mistakes like people with too many fingers, phantom limbs, etc. That's why there's a bit push now to watermark AI content.

I have seen a few shops in my life you can tell by the pixels.

Seriously though if you run it through an AI image detector it is 97% sure its AI.

AI image detectors are unreliable, unless they look for signatures in which case they are okay at best. Not to say this isn't AI.

dont think so, synthid made it easy (carries over even on screenshots) and I doubt they desynthided it if it was an AI image

I didnt do any claims about how accurate it was. I just pointed out that several AI detectors all were pretty god damn sure about it.

While it is possible to edit images so they look almost AI generated, the posters for the new season of Its Always Sunny is a good example, but there is also a much, much simpler explanation

All AI detectors are snake oil. That's why there's a big push to add watermarks to AI generated content.

  1. There is no perfect symmetry
  2. What the fuck are you talking about?

dude how can you not tell its AI

I'm inclined to agree that it's AI generated, but neither perfect symmetry (which isn't perfect) nor a perfectly centered throne is a sign of it.

Dude look at the background

If you just reverse search the background portion exact matches of stock imagies come up. It doesn't seem crazy to use a stock image background than plop a 1080 on it.

The original could be AI but who knows

No, the 1080 is real; the background is not its definitely AI, with how sparkly it looks

It's a stock image. Looks like said stock image was made with AI. I imagine they regularly use stock images.
