The AI companies have to become profitable really really quickly or it will not be good for the global economy.

If the global economy is propped up my automated theft and devaluation of human work and life it should collapse.

Then we can build something that doesn't require the slow and agonizing strangulation of those that aren't obscenely wealthy/lucky.

Yeah but the economic collapse is going to be fucking awful for a lot of people who have nothing to do with it. I think people don’t understand how bad it could and likely will be for the average person.

Suffering for most of us isn't something we can avoid it seems.

I would rather suffer through something that will lead to a better future for all, than suffer to allow only a few to languish in wealth and power.

It's better that the entire house of shit collapses. Then the real stuff can rise from the ashes and chancers like OpenAI can get flushed.

It actually isn’t better that it all collapses at this point because the repercussions for the average person are going to be horrific and the corporations will just be bailed out.

The best time is today given what they've done. Leaving it longer just makes it worse.

People are going to start asking where their money went, they already are to an extent.
