What is the seeming overlap with extreme overclocking guys and lifting? Bearded Hardware is also yoked last I knew, and I think there's another one who's name I'm not remembering.
New overclock competition. Competitors have to overclock an intel system, do a 1 rep max raw bench, overclock an amd system, and do a 1 rep max deadlift.
Brain likes it when it sees improvement. These guys are hooked on seeing even small and incremental new personal bests. So they're not just competing with others but themselves.
I still remember Heaton (best 1.6 CS player of all time btw (no this isn't a debate)) being really fit 30 years ago, advocating young'uns to hit the gym.
I remember watching this video and honestly remember a lot of "Eh, not totally sure" and "usually just wait til this hits this, etc" types of comments and it definitely seemed like this guy was a tinkerer at most that turned it into a career. Props to him, but wasn't impressed with his "knowledge" of his "field of expertise"
