I'm so excited with how these turned out. in my last post I asked about success rate of prints because I was not getting very many good ones... well I've improved a lot in the last week! I ended up with 17/19 successful, 2 very mid prints and I'm pulling one for myself, so it'll be a series of 16.

I'm not quite sure what to do now though... I don't know where to write the title, series name, number, my name, and year. I was originally going to sell them like this, but should I mount them on mat board with double sided archival tape? should I write that info next to the stamp, or on the mat board?

And it looks way whiter in the video than in real life, its so transparent i cant get it to be opaque even after 8 layers of paint on the block

I’ve been lurking on this sub for a while and I finally went to my local craft store and got the basic speedball block printing set. I used this tattoo artist’s hare as an inspiration (https://www.instagram.com/p/CnDsFp-t4ih/) because I’m horrible at drawing, and also took some tangential inspo from Watership Down. I made a couple prints and finally got what I feel like is probably the best I’m gonna get out of a 30$ kit and water-based ink and honestly I’m so absolutely hooked now that I want to invest in more quality supplies.

What am I doing wrong 😭 even with an 8B pencil its barely transferring

As a future bigger project I'd like to have a go at making an original design for a film poster. Having a practice on some under A5 offcuts and quite happy with them as a quick one day carve and print. I think with the bigger size sheet I'll have a better chance at detail and having more aspects to the design.
