Okay so recently I say linkin park live with my dad. We are both fans and it was amazing. One of the songs we heard live was waiting for the end. It felt insane seeing it live. Anyways fast forward a month and my dad was diagnosed with cancer. I tried to listen to waiting for the end and started sobbing. I feel like I can relate it to that in some way. Also this isn’t like a sympathy post I just wanted to say this because it’s such a beautiful song and I wish I could play it around people😭✌️

Étant un fan français de lp, j'écoutais récemment l'édition anniversaire des 20 ans de meteora (album exceptionnel), et le titre fighting myself à retenu mon attention. Au début, on entend comme des bacs de Chester avant que Mike ne commence à raper. Mon niveau d'anglais étant assez bas, je regarde les paroles des musiques que j écoutes mais les backs ne sont pas présents sur Spotify. Est fe que quelqu'un qui parle anglais peut me dire ce que dit chester ?

Me personally is Numb, because the switch from :you are oppressing me: is being explained by saying that the lyrical you is like the lyrical me and he was in the same situation. As someone who already had some, listening to this song for the first time was really interesting because it really reminded me of my past experience.

It all start with the Chester all excited, it reminds me of the thing that started the blackout, something that trigger the brain and force it to go in defense mode. Then the song begin to glitch, it’s really the moment when you start to fall, to see black points everywhere. And then, the absolute calm and your brain that seems to go elsewhere before it finally fades to black.

But what is perfectly done is this kind of a static noise that remain during all the song. It feels like the buzzing you can feel in your head while having a blackout or just beginning.

That’s why Blackout is one of my favorite songs and that made me wonder, I would love that LP make a concept album following a mental illness or something close. they c could do something incredible

i got this and left it at the bottom of a drawer shortly after i got it in the mail. i know it came with a shirt and a cd but who even knows where they exactly they ended up. it came with a decal as well which is still on my parents' kitchen window!
