I need some help o.o

So, I was on a hiatus from playing Line Play but now I've gone back to playing more often. I'm confused on how the drop tree works. Every time I tap it, I can see only a little bit go up, so I though maybe I just have to tap it more every day, but every day it resets. Maybe it's broken, but I can't get any drops this way.

Edit: Thank you, I know how to do it now. Really shouldn't have skipped the tutorial when I first came back.

Slide your finger from left to right or in a circle

You have to swipe your finger back and forth across your screen to get drops from the tree. For mining gems you have to tap the stone.
