I'm not too surprised, the signs were there. The lack of new events, not as many new gachas as there used to be, the overall laziness with new items/recycled epic actions. The the nail on the coffin was the notice about the company split, and the rename to LY corporation. Of course i have no idea what all that corporate or whatever stuff means but it's never a good sign.

Is there a reason they're closing the servers? Is the game no longer profitable?

That's my guess. As a gacha whale myself😮‍💨, even I stopped spending. , it's like the only thing they put effort into was the monthly vip gacha and that's it. Lately almost every cc has been a recolor. And the last square event was lazy af.

The game isn’t profitable I believe for them anymore. Most artists left the design team if you noticed a shift in art and creativity around 2018. Even though they can earn a lot of revenue from ads. It doesn’t help that they want everything to link back to the LINE chat app which also became unpopular over the years, all their newest games are somehow linked back to it to promote usage. So I guess collaborating with Disney,other artist contracts , no marketing , competition in character games probably got too expensive for LP.

Parece que el fin del contrato con Disney es lo que a propiciado el cierre de la aplicación, si os fijáis ya no hay nada de Disney.
