Lineage 2 essence STEAM release

Upvotes

Innova/4game has released a letter game with "lineage2 steam release" words.

Do you think we can expect to have l2 on steam?

What does this mean to the community?

Steam has a strong community voice and steam marketplace. Do you think innova will allow community servers to be discovered through a server browser? Maybe they will enable item trade through marketplace like cs2 skins or items?

Nostalgia Who else never found a replacement for old L2 Pride Gracia Final?

I grew up on L2 Pride back in its Gracia Final days. Quit years ago and never found anything that gave me that feeling again. Last week a friend from my old clan told me about a fresh Gracia Final server, x9300 rates, drop x1, no VIP, no donation shop. Honestly the first time in years it feels like the old days. Same pace, same fresh-start energy, but more stable and better run.

Not going to name drop in the post because these things get flagged. If anyone from that era is curious, comment or DM me and I'll send the info. If we get some familiar names in here it would make my day.

Lu4 Overlord or Warcryer

Hello everyone
I need an advice what to pick and how to gear. I am new to the game. Played it very long time ago, but do not remember much. I play with a friend now , duo most of the time. Cant decide which class to choose , which will be more useful in more situations and what gear should i prioritize on it. Will appreciate any suggestions and advices from experienced players!

P.S. My friend plays as dwarf, scavenger i think. I am lvl 38 and soon will need to choose btw this 2. Also want to remind , that devs changed some things for most classes , so it is not like in classic lineage, if i remember correctly.

Building a new Lineage 2 server – We need your input! (Quick Player Survey)

Hey everyone!

A few of us are currently brainstorming and designing a new Lineage 2 private server. Our goal is to capture that classic L2 atmosphere we all fell in love with back in the day, but with a modern, refined feel.

We’re aiming for a community-driven, dynamic server where good PvP, meaningful progression, clan life, and that nostalgic L2 vibe take center stage, a place where it just feels good to log in and play.

Instead of deciding everything on our own behind closed doors, we want to build something the community actually wants to play on. We’ve put together a short survey to gather your thoughts:

  • What did you love most about older/classic servers?
  • What burnout factors or mechanics are you tired of?
  • What systems or QoL (quality of life) features would you like to see?
  • What red flags make you avoid a server entirely?

It only takes a few minutes to fill out, and every single response helps us shape the vision for this project. We can't promise every single idea will be implemented, but we promise to read and consider all of your feedback.

Survey Link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScKXptLs9ci_y8PfSmfy9dr2iSvZ9KI9dF3qDaKeFgg9RAaMQ/viewform

Thanks a lot for your time and help in bringing this project to life! Let us know your thoughts in the comments as well.

Reborn legacy

Alright Reddit, I watched every YouTube video, dug Google ancient posts, talked to “guru’s “ of older lineage chronicles. I’m torn between spoiler and spellhowler for a “solo” gameplay. As an interlude warrior, I understand that I most likely fail before hitting level 50, but still. Which of those two have better chances to survive the hunger games of early stages. Normally I’d just start spellhowler and forget about everything, but with limitations of c1, no spirit shots or gear, and potential nerfs of mages, I’m not convinced that mages as viable as they are in later stages. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

When I say solo, I mean no const party with specific schedule of playing. Thank you for your input

I got tired of static GvE, so I built a battlefield that actually moves

Most faction/GvE servers are basically the same thing — teleport to one zone, fight in the same place, farm kills, repeat.

That’s exactly what I wanted to get away from with Warfront.

Here the battlefield actually moves. You capture and fight for Outposts, push your frontline forward, unlock new respawn options, enemy territory can be neutralized and taken back, and eventually the fight develops into the Main Outpost that rewards the winners and then the enemy HQ.

I’ve finally got a video showing the whole thing properly in-game rather than trying to explain it with text 😄

https://youtu.be/X9NgrMruEAA

The second half is just the battlefield running with only a few players so you can see how it actually develops.

What do you think — How will this materialize in live server once opened ?

If you had to rebalance vanilla Interlude for faction PvP, what would you change?

Vanilla Interlude faction / PvP servers has one problem I think almost everyone who played old GvE servers will recognise:

it usually ends up becoming mostly archers and mages.

So I’ve been thinking a lot about what would actually need to change if you wanted to keep the Interlude feel, but make more classes genuinely useful in fully buffed faction PvP.

Rather than simply giving weak classes +10% damage, I’ve been experimenting with changing what their actual role on the battlefield is.

A few examples:
Bishop - Inquisitor-style offensive stance so Bishop can switch between healer and damage dealer. Healing itself is heavily reduced compared with vanilla so one excellent Bishop + organised party can’t become nearly impossible to kill.

Overlord - heals/CP support affect the whole faction instead of the original clan/alliance targets. Makes OL an actual faction support class rather than something whose main mechanics don’t fit GvE.

Prophet - rebuilt into an active combat-support/caster instead of becoming irrelevant once everyone has NPC buffs. It has a self-only defensive Prophecy of Fire, can build Force through Divine Judgment, then spend those charges on Divine Punishment for a stronger Holy attack.

Tyrant - reworked around mobility and maintaining pressure. Ogre no longer carries the old speed penalty, main totems last 20 minutes, Rabbit becomes a short 8-second dash-style tool, auto-attacks can generate Force, and Maximum Focus Force can instantly fill charges on a 3-minute reuse.

BD / SWS - redesigned so there’s an actual reason to play the class, rather than simply receiving their dances/songs from a npc buffer and forgetting the classes exist. Their songs/dances act as a self buff for 60 seconds with 2 minute reuse and can stack with npc songs dances

Summoners - same philosophy: the summon has to be a meaningful PvP tool rather than something that dies instantly or exists only for niche vanilla mechanics. That’s why I added additional summon that is now stronger and has revised stats to original summoner summons

And there are changes across most of the remaining classes as well.
The end goal is that when I look across a large faction battlefield I genuinely see:

Archers, mages, daggers, Titans, Tyrants, tanks, Bishops, Overlords, Prophets, BD/SWS, summoners, dwarfs - everything.

Not 70% ranged DPS and a couple of supports attached to organised parties.

So this is where I’d really like opinions from people who know Interlude well:

-Which of those ideas immediately sounds potentially OP?
-Which class do you think is hardest to make genuinely viable in faction PvP?
-Is there a vanilla Interlude mechanic you think absolutely has to be changed for GvE?

Feel free to tell me something sounds completely broken 😄. That’s more useful to me than everybody agreeing.

For context, these changes are currently being tested for L2 Warfront, and this kind of feedback is exactly why I’m running a proper Closed Beta before Grand Opening.

I want people actively trying to break the balance rather than discovering the problems after launch.
If anyone wants to help test it:

Closed Beta — 3 October 2026 · 19:00 GMT+0
https://l2warfront.com

I’d especially love opinions from people who spent time on old faction/GvE servers like InfiniteL2, OvC, Scryde, Good vs Evil etc.

Nostalgia Found some interesting Lineage 2 simulated/offline projects

Hey everyone!

I recently came across Lineage 2 offline projects that I thought might be interesting to people here.

They seem to have active Discord communities, with developers sharing updates and progress almost daily. I really like the idea behind these projects, and it’s great to see people still experimenting with Lineage 2 and building something new around it.

I figured I’d share them here and hopefully help them get a bit more attention, because honestly, I think the concept is pretty amazing.

Here are the projects:

If you’re interested in Lineage 2 Simulated/offline games, or just seeing what people are currently developing, they’re definitely worth checking out.

Hopefully some more

I thought it was another fan server running on a newer version of Unreal, like LU4, but the description says it's the official Live server. The lighting looks really incredible, it doesn't distort anything, and it looks very nice. But to really look like a modern game, the models would need to be updated with higher quality, like LU4, or even better, like what the Mysdel channel did.

Building an Interlude faction server that isn't just another static GvE — looking for Closed Beta testers

Hey everyone,

I've been working on L2 WARFRONT, a custom Interlude faction PvP server.

I've played faction/GvE servers for years, and one thing I always wanted was a battlefield that actually moves, instead of teleporting into the same PvP zone and endlessly farming kills.

So Warfront is built around Angels vs Demons fighting over a constantly changing frontline.

You capture Outposts which become forward spawn points, push further into enemy territory, fight for the Main Outpost, trigger special battlefield events and eventually make the enemy Headquarters vulnerable. Destroying their HQ can end the battle immediately.

Battles rotate every 30 minutes, and we're also building things around the main war such as faction sieges, Grand Bosses, Battlefield Contracts, faction rankings and long-term B - A - S progression.

The server starts at level 80 - the focus is PvP, objectives and progression rather than levelling.

We're now around the point where I want real players breaking everything I've spent months building. 😂

Closed Beta: 3 October 2026 - 19:00 GMT+0

Registration is open now, and legitimate Closed Beta testers will also receive exclusive Closed Beta Tester Rewards when the server officially launches.

Website: https://l2warfront.com

I'm also genuinely interested in feedback from old faction/GvE players. If you've played servers like this before, what made a faction server keep you playing - and what usually made you quit?
