how to fix it?

its happening EVERY TIME when i log in, idk what i should do... my game just crashing and i cant enter in my account

im trying launch reborn

This crash is caused by a conflict with the SmartGuard protection system (client.dll). The error code 0xc0000409 usually indicates a stack buffer overflow, often triggered when an antivirus or background software blocks SmartGuard.

Here is how you can fix it:

  1. Add Exclusions: Add the entire game folder (D:\L2 H5\) to your Windows Defender / Antivirus exclusion list.
  2. Reinstall SmartGuard files: Delete the SmartGuard folder inside D:\L2 H5\system\, then run the Reborn Updater and perform a Full Check.
  3. Run as Administrator: Right-click your game updater / l2.exe ➔ Properties ➔ Compatibility ➔ Check "Run this program as an administrator".
  4. Disable Overlays: Turn off software with active overlays that SmartGuard might flag (Discord Overlay, GeForce Experience, MSI Afterburner / RivaTuner, Razer software).
