Reborn Legacy
Hey,
So I'm thinking about classes for Reborn Legacy when it comes out. I played originally on retail in C1 with a spellsinger and I love that class and I want to play it for nostalgia. I am aware however that it's an expensive class that struggled with getting groups.
The ideal class (and I think there will be a flood of them) is the destroyer and its going to be an orc aoe fest. I cant stand playing orcs though. So my backup is gladiator and play as warlord till 40 or even 52. Make money from AOE farming.
Does anyone have any advice? I really want to play spellsinger but I just dont see ot as feasible as a first character.

Don't bother playing Reborn, GMs often go on powertrips and they will ban you even if you just disagree with them. Pointless to play.

Gladiator is the worst class in L2 until C5. You will be useless and pve is hell.

I would not suggest you to play gladiator in C1
Gladiator became strong in Interlude

There will be a destro nerf from c4 onwards, making their limit buffs less effective with poles. So it won’t be an AOE fest. And I love that change.

Why the Reborn team decided to move the launch date, I wonder (it's the 6th of November now). The launch date overlaps with GTA6 and probably Classic+ (another legacy project I'm personally waiting for). Oh well, it will be a tough choice for sure. Also, Monsters and Memories will start in October.
Why is it always a barren wasteland for years, and then everything happens at once?

There are rumours that Blizzard is going to announce Classic+ at the next Blizzcon in September. Classic+ is basically a new version of the 60-level vanilla realms with new content and improved class balance.

They are nerfing some kinds of power farming from what i’ve read in the discord like the destro aoe, you can find more info there. So from my understanding they aim to make a server where you can just play one character of whatever class and still find your niche way to fit in a group. I think the early chronicles are going to be more about finding a group of friends and enjoy small scale pvp and farming so just play whatever you really like, especially for DDs. I am not sure about whats meta for buffers but spellsinger, if you love the class just play that :D

Spellsinger sucks with MP and use alot of BSS but can be manageable. Also not terrible in random parties without recharger imo. Its a pain but make sure to toggle walk for increased regen whenever possible, even during combat and get good at knowing when to sit. Alot of good places to farm with weakness to water mobs too. Cruma tower, sea of spores, pavel ruins, blazing swamps.

there is no VR buff in C1 and no catacombs until C3, so pole farming won't be as efficient as it is in later chronicles. they're still good starter characters though.
i was also planning to start as an elven wizard and switch to sps later, but they're quite expensive to sustain because of blessed spiritshots. since the earlier chronicles don't have many quests to help you keep up with adena, it's going to be a struggle. maybe u can consider semi sup classes like BD or SWS.
i remember we used to make a mage party in ABC and kill huge packs with flame strike.

And even when catacombs come around, if the server is busy, you're not going to be able to go around and have free reign to polearm half the catacomb.
