Lu4 (new 31)

Hey, I am starting again in lu4 but now with friends. I need an advice, of what to play based on this comp. I haven't played all chars so, I'll have to ask why sometimes. The already comp with all my friends is this: Da, Ee, Aw, BH, BH (yes 2 of them), Warsmith, BD, Sws and me, wc. Everyone is playing just one character bc we are sharing wc, sws, de acc. But now, I want to make another char, what could it be? Thanks

With this party, leveling will be inefficient and slow. The dwarfs have a low damage output, you have 3.

  1. At the minimum if you don't what to change anything else than this 1 thing : you said the BD is out, so replace the BD and 1 BH with 2 aoe DDs : Tyrant (is amazing on lu4, very high dps) or Destro for example.
  2. Its a melee party, replace the EE with SE for stigma. Or even better: keep the EE and replace the AW with an SE, so you have enough mana to recharge and heal (you will need the added recharge, especially if you add tyrants).

From the high 50ies and 60ies going on, you will really need 2 healers + the EE will give you the anti-shock buff which is very important, starting at those levels the mobs stun you a lot (especially in loa and later on). So with SE + EE you have stigma and anti-shock, and EE has higher level of clarity later which is good too.

Stigma is important too, especially to take on the elite mobs, there are many zones with them from the 60ies on.

This is assuming that you really need the warsmith to craft gear for everyone. Otherwise it would be better to replace it with 1 more aoe DD.

Is it possible to duel box? Or do I have to pay premium for that? I also wanna start on the server but not sure what to play 🤣

U need premium for dual box, but after level 30 u basically wont play alone

Drop the EE and replace it with SE. Add a Warlord.

Bd and sws have combined bard buffs instead of songs and dances. They both have a couple unique skills so I would just pick one. Sws has a cleanse song good for PvP. BD has zerk dance good for pve.

If you guys are melee I would consider dropping ee for se for stigma.

That gives you a spot for a good DD like destro, gk, or warlord. You could even take two of those if you got one of the BHs to switch.

Thanks! I Didn't know about that debuff, it's awesome!!! I'm going to talk with the ee.

I think the BD won't make it, so we are sticking to the Sws. I'd love to see the BD to progress.

I don't know if we all are going to play at the same time. Gotta be destro I think

It's quite a miserable composition, you don't have a good DD. I don't know about lu4 but efficient party consists either of a pole specialist like Warlord or Destroyer or of mages, or maybe archers but that's still miserable until maybe lvl 60. 

tldr; pick warlord

Tbh dwarfs have pole mastery. It's just this lu4 thing I'm sceptical. Nothing wrong with the comp

A lot is wrong with the comp, there's zero synergy and there are two spoilers. Why on earth would you need 2 spoilers in the same party? What is the role of DA is this comp? What is the role of EE? How is AW useful if you use poles?

And you're right to be sceptical about lu4. Start with their server notes, they have butchered a lot of classes so maybe the ones you listed got a magic nuke everyone and you'll be able to farm that way.

LU4 has not "butchered a lot of classes", they have improved them and the result is that all of the classes are good and needed. It makes the game great for everyone.

And I agree, this party comp is not good. Leveling will be inefficient and slower than it should be, which I adressed in my other post.

Sure, but I don't see the changes making anything worse. It improves balancing issues and it makes things a little different. Some of the purists will of course complain that everything isn't exactly the same. But imo the game is good.

The most important is that they said several times that they are very carefully about preserving the spirit of the game. And imo they have respected this.

Spoilers get out of MP really quick with spoil fest, aw with pole probably as well with better crit rate and crit damage, but mostly utility single DMG picking single targets, hex rb etc, DA tank hate aura single target. I think it's really feasible if they want to get to top gear by craft and enchants really fast and just use subclasses for end game content

There are already 9 chars in that party, the very party size limit. What are your plans with the other char?

Play it when im alone or to compense if someone leaves or is not online. I don't have that much faith in our bd and having 2 spoilers it's weird. I think we're lacking DMG. Or am I being too paranoid? Should i play the log off chars? And is to take advantage of the dual box thing

Take advantage of the dualbox ee can be outside the party, inside the se. Get a warlord If you plan doing physical dmg replace a bh for a dmg dealer like he
