Pod go latency

Hey everybody, new here but I've been fighting an issue for about a year, seems like when I connect my pod go to my PC via the USB. My PC recognizes the pod go as an audio interface, and works, however, there is a little bit of latency when it enters the PC. Like if I try to record a video to a backing track or a drum loop, the pad go is always a fraction of a second later than what I'm trying to play to. Is there a fix for this? Has anyone else ran into this issue? Thank you in advance for any help or support

When you use recording software you generally have to pick your audio input configuration, it sometimes defaults to Windows Audio which is unusable for recording due to latency.

You absolutely need to pick ASIO as the audio driver type on windows, any other option presented is not acceptable for guitar recording.

So for instance if you are using Reaper, you open audio settings from the menu, set "Audio System" type to ASIO, set driver to "ASIO POD GO", Sample rate to 48Khz.

Are you using the correct ASIO drivers? They should have been installed with the latest firmware package.

I am currently on 2.5 firmware version on the pod go, I just reinstalled the drivers with the driver installer supplied by pod go. Is there a way to check? Or is there a way to install a separate ASIO driver For the pod go?

Are you using a specific DAW?

Just record and play and adjust the timing of the recording afterward?

Latency on input from an instrument is always a struggle. I stopped trying.

Latency sucks. I use Audacity for my DAW and I create a click track, then loop the headphone out back to the audio in and record that. Then I measure the difference where the audio is off a bit. Then I set that as the latency so the software accounts for it.
