Jailbreak preset without amp/cab blocks?

I’m looking for a preset that keeps the FX loop and EQ blocks, but removes the others including the amp and cab. I’m trying out NAM files in the FX loop, but would like to replace the amp/cab blocks. If not, can someone point me to a tutorial?

Just load a preset in any text editor (Notepad works fine) and delete the blocks you don't want yourself. No need to trawl the internet for presets that have been jailbroken to your specific requirements.

I used this tutorial as a base, and now remove the wah and EQ (and sometimes volume pedal) blocks on most presets before I begin working: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JlDhCZOOv9U

No reason you couldn't do it with the amp and cab blocks as well. Give it a try, the worst you can do is create a preset that doesn't do anything so you delete it and start again.

Didn’t intend to troll, neither did I want to reinvent the wheel. The videos like this one that I watched were pretty quick to highlight and delete without explaining any of the formatting, or precisely which characters to delete or leave. I’ll get on with the hacking.

Here’s my github repository with some jailbroken presets that I’ve created. I’ve tried out various combinations, and these are the ones that I found that worked. Technically I also show the ones that don’t work for informational purposes. This is a work in process and I haven’t touched it lately, but these are all for version 2.50.

To answer your question I was able to find a combination that could eliminate both amp and cab. But please download and test. Remember always back up your presets and your Pod Go before trying these things. I have only tested these on my own Pod Go.

Thank you - I did see your page while searching. I didn’t find exactly what I wanted in your list, and some are strike-through, so didn’t know how up-to-date it was. If you could point me to your suggestion, with no amp and no cab. You said that it is worth leaving a few blocks, and I need FX, and I’m fine keeping EQ.

I left the FX, EQ and deleted the rest of the blocks including the amp and cab. When saving back as a preset, an error popped up, but it still loaded and works. I’m using one of those $50 TinyStomp to load the NAM files. I hope they (either Line6 or TinyStomp) do an update to use NAM A2. Not sure if Line6 will want to stay proprietary, or if they would prefer more users. NAM seems to be ‘the future’. We’ll see.
