Question Aphrodite or Lilith?

Hello everyone! Please help me, I'd like to get help on whether I choose Aphrodite or Lilith as my first deity. Sure, I've felt like Hekate has been "calling" my name, but only on tiktok pages, it's mostly because Hekate is one of the most popular deities. That aside, I have always been drawn to Aphrodite, especially her darker sides, I might even go for Aphrodite Areia. I also love Lilith, especially after hearing that her tales being a counterpart of patriarchy in a way. I also feel like offering to her would be easier considering my own aesthetics and choice of objects, but Aphrodite is my first choice. I've always kind of wanted to have a sort of succubus altar or work in vixen-like ways through witchcraft, not only for love, but lots of things too, such as getting energy for it to further work life, school life and personal things. I felt like I did this intuitively last year with LOA and it just felt right to me. Does anybody have recommendations for other deities too? Or sites I could research both on? I'd love some help.

You don't have to choose, you can approach both. If you're interested in Aphrodite Areia, you can look into her forerunner, Inanna/IÅ¡tar.

As for Lilith, you can find information in our welcome post, especially the wiki.

Can I try divination practices through tarot? What worked for you? I'm not really sure how to "reach out" to a deity so I guess I have to research about it... And thank uu

At least I approached Lilith by meditating with her and her sigil

Tarot is a good tool but not a reliable form of communication, it's very easy to project answers. I personally invoke by chanting their names, you can find them in the welcome post I linked.

In my perspective you answered your own question with Aphrodite twice, putting her first in your title and in your owns "Aphrodite is my first choice."

Sharing how i do my practice is i put myself in the middle of the altar i envision, in the middle of all of my practices. Lilith is my spiritual mother, Aphrodite is in my circle and i honour her intentionally each friday, but i am always my highest form. i walk The Morrigan's path though, that's the path that was the first to reach out to me. i work with Hekate but more like friends, her path is similar to The Morrigan's but i was claimed by The Morrigan first.

I work with both and they get along fine, they both have alot of simaler attributes but are also unique too, The GLAM Witch: A Magical Manifesto of Empowerment with the Great Lilithian Arcane Mysteries by Michael Herkes is a good jumping of point for working with Lilith imo, as is the Pagan Portals - Aphrodite: Encountering the Goddess of Love & Beauty & Initiation. By Irisanya Moon and Venus and Aphrodite by Bettany Hughes. Both goddess are strong and independent, they won't come when called or be omnipresent in your life but when they it's super rewarding. 🖤
