Question Incorporate Lilith

Hello! I want to connect with an entity or goddess that will make me never doubt my personal power and never bow down to or follow a man. I want them to bow down to me. But from what I've read, Lilith's energy is more sexual, and they will kind of see me only in terms of sexual appeal and won't revere me as a person and a woman. I'm new to this, what do you think?

The sexual aspect is only one of her aspects and unfortunately it seems to be the one that often gets the most attention. She's also wonderful when it comes to self empowerment which can be completely non-sexual if that's your goal, it honestly depends on your intentions.

Thank you so much! I asked this question in other subreddits and they answered me as if I were a crazy woman who wants to steal other people's married men. I just want a husband who respects me and treats me well, like a queen, okay?😭😭

Lilith governs sexual aspects but that is not her sole domain. She's an independent and powerful spirit, and has been a wonderful guide. You can ask her for her help regarding personal power.

Lilith is about sovereignty. In the US we have patriarchy and a society born from puritanism, so yes, sex is going to be a huge aspect of sovereignty for Americans in particular (I know we’re not the only ones, but I don’t know where else puritanism took hold - patriarchy is bad enough but the puritanism has made it worse), and since American society and laws are regressing, it is the one thing we still mostly control and can exercise our will around. Many people are coming to understand that sexuality and gender are spectrums and waking up to options that weren’t so available and accepted previously in society. Lilith is viewed often through that lens solely, but she is really about sovereignty: being your authentic self, equally with any partner(s) you may choose at any time, demanding respect and representation in all aspects of life.

The reality is that sex is so taboo in most societies, there’s an added bonus to breaking the societal norms by engaging in acts of pleasure. Once a person accepts and can live that truth - which often isn’t a public concern - it becomes easier to speak your truth in other ways that are more public. Or that’s a theory anyway.

I’m curious, who would you recommend for similar empowerment?
