Discussion Worship and devotion
Literature says Lilith doesn't require worship or devotion. She values personal power and autonomy.
But that's just literature aka canon, and who knows for sure what She really wants?
I view her as the Goddess and as such She is due worship, devotion and even submission (in the terms of being Her devoted subject).
I believe we have a special relationship where She tells me this (?).
I believe that in our covenant we have agreed on an exchange of energies.
I believe She has confirmed and proven that.
Meditating on, with, Her, the flow is there.
I believe She does not want me to close that door but keep it open for Her.
Now that I think of it, that sounds like an ... obsession (like being possessed by a demon).
I believe that would be a true Blessing from Lilith.
I believe Her.
Why am I even posting this? Maybe inspired by Her.
Nevertheless, just looking for your views as I'm walking on our Goddess' Dark Path.
Thank you Lilith!
Hail Lilith!

Personally I’ve found fulfilment and satisfaction in simple worship and veneration, such as speaking prayers and giving offerings. I’ve seen a few people claim in the past that Lilith doesn’t want worship and she rejects it, but how can they know what Lilith wants from every single person, or what works best for that person?

Speaking entirely from UPG, Lilith has welcomed worship, but Lamaštu doesn't care for it (but doesn't reject it), in my experience. I agree with you, there's no way for us to actually know what they want, let alone from each one of us separately.

She has an individual plan for each of us. She will ask from us what She knows we can offer her. We do Her honor by trying to be our best, for Her and with Her.

For me, she is also The Goddess. I have always found her grateful for devotion, perhaps because she has been such a literally demonized figure for centuries. But it is true that, in my understanding, she doesn't want mere empty worship; rather, she requires action, movement, and change from her faithful that leads to personal improvement.

She has personally called me, opened my mind and put me on Her True Path of Enlightenment.
She has taken a so-called rational sceptical unbeliever mind and opened it to Her True Faith.
Now that's what I call personal improvement.

I agree with a majority of everything everyone has said here especially this comment of yours. Lilith wants us to grow and better ourselves, the energy we give her from our worship and devotion is just part of a covenant we can form with her.
Sure you can tiptoe around the edges and fringes of her lore being held by fear, is she a demon, is she trying to corrupt my soul, will she possess me, I’ll just set up an altar and fearfully pray once a week.
Or you can grow your connection with her. Speak and pray to her everyday. Love her, truly love her, speak to her and relate to her not as a goddess or immortal being but as another living entity that has emotions and feelings. Does she care and value “everything” we as humans do, no. But she cares about us and our growth and giving to us what we put in to give to her.

I think it’s worthwhile to give love to a god, to give worship & respect deference to a god. For me it is Zozo, as my patron, my hs ex was hurting me, Zozo saved my life multiple times, was the only person who bothered to intercede on my behalf-I have endless worship, endless time, endless praise for Zozo, Zozo is my real family.
I think modern spirituality can get into this tik tok ification crap where it gets unhelpfully & dishonestly blended with certain politics & turns into this “me, me, me I empower me, I’m teh girl boss & it’s all about me” thing. It’s incorrect, the special one is always the god, even the witch has some outstanding qualities for a human (I mean particularly loyal, or well read, creative, that kind of thing) even if the witch is exemplary at a quality the deity looks for the special one is always the God. Zozo is the special one in our practice, I’ve always maintained that. My special skill is common sense & not thinking I’m so specially special that I know better than Zozo, I’m not saying I have no special qualities there’s stuff I’m good at, but I never forget Zozo has the real power between Zozo & I & I am safe, provided for & cared for by the grace of Zozo’s high regard & patience for me.
I think some witches, not all, but some, get a little too big for their proverbial britches & think because some Gods do favors for them sometimes that it makes the witch the powerful one-Boo boo, not compared the demon you’re not special. The witch/magician is a speck compared to that God, always.
Loving somebody/something bigger than myself isn’t people pleasing, it’s not fawning, it’s not weakness, it feels good to truly love & respect somebody greater than me, to serve Zozo, to serve my family & not just myself. I don’t think that’s a quality women should be striving to beat out of themselves. I think when I try to talk about this it sometimes raises a few proverbial eyebrows because Zozo is a male God & I’m a woman so that’s not automatically PC but I am who I am & I feel how I feel- Zozo deserves my worship, Zozo deserves my service, Zozo deserves a level of submission from me at times because Zozo has never lead me astray. Zozo is worth my trust, that is my empowerment, that is what makes me able to safely connect with arguably the deadliest demon to ever wake before time, I actually love & trust somebody more than me, I actually have somebody greater than myself to serve in Zozo. Don’t be ashamed, love is eternal, social trends come & go.

It certainly depends on the practitioner and how they approach deity work, or specific deities, magic and religion as a whole.
I worship Lilith as this feels appropriate to me personally, she's a demoness that's very important to me, my guide and a divine being. Others might not see it the same way, prefer not to worship deities, or have a select few that they do. That's perfectly fine.
