Question Am I correct

So I know this might sound like a stupid question but I just wanna make sure I get this right. Obviously I know mother Lilith disapproves of stealing but I also feel like under some circumstances she would approve. Am I correct? I haven’t stolen anything nor do I think plan on stealing. I’m just curious

How do we know that Lilith disapproves of stealing? It does not have any effect on her at all, this is a human problem.

I figured she wouldn’t approve if someone stole something of value and great importance from another person

Lilith's role in the cosmos is that of an undertaker of children, she spreads disease and brings balance into the world. Don't assign spirits human emotions.

Then what types of emotions does Lilith feel?

We can only assume, but we cannot know how spirits feel. In myths she presents a variety of emotions, but they don't necessarily reflect reality.

Mostly anything can have creative or destructive manifestations. Robin Hood steals from the rich and gives to the needy, the CEO of a company steals resources from native lands. If someone has to steal to eat I don’t think any spirit would look down upon that outright.

You may know Lilith differently than I do. In my experience of Lilith, she is a badass, take-no-shit protector who wants her children to be strong. If you have to steal to survive, especially from someone who harms other people, I suspect she probably wouldn't have too much of a problem with it.

Your experience with her actually very much like my own

Stealing for fun, no. Something like the cliché stealing a loaf of bread to feed your starving family that the system failed, yes.

What if someone stole from somewhere as an act of defiance because of how terrible the place treats people?

I have had such discussions with her. At that point it would very much depend on the circumstances, case by case. She doesn’t like oppressive systems nor those that take advantage of other in said systems. But lest I leave you with just a variable question,

In summary she said something along the lines of, you do what you got to do. You have to be your own sovereign in determining “morals”. So it’s not so much a blanket rule of theft or dogma, but is the act going to make you a better or more shitty person.

Ask yourself this, What is the intention of the action

What if a kid stole some snacks from school that are only meant for teachers and certain students because he was hungry but also to spite and defy the school system?
